Its a cool game, but its so hard XD

This was great man! Others have already pointed out the floaty feel of the jump so I won't harp on about it :P Honestly though, starting at the bottom of the list whilst sorting on popularity I got no idea why your game is so low. This is one of the gems from the 50 or so games I've played so far!

I really liked it, the work you did on the art is spectacular, the jumping felt really floaty though and it led to a few deaths where I couldn't time landing on enemies for the boost.
Other than that and the spikes I loved every moment.

Dude, you redesigned the full art kit but still kept it relevant! That's some transformation! Awesome work there!

Yeah, the spikes are hard as players to interpret, try to make them look like interactable next time, so we know that those are harmful...

There some good game juice even though the controls were a bit janky... Still awesome work! Thanks for making this!

Very consistent art. Took me a minute to make sure it was made with the art kit - that's some pretty transformative work! The jump was a bit too floaty to make bouncing off the dogs to reach higher areas feel "right". Also A and D work for movement, but W doesn't jump? You were almost there! I really dislike using the arrow keys for movement, not sure if it's because left handed or just not used to it. Keep folks like me in mind for your next project to improve accessibility - I was definitely worse at the game because I had to use the wrong hand.

The biggest gripe I have though is the spikes - they're waaay too easy to miss during play. I almost always only ever saw them after I'd hit them, and have some of the spears missing their heads and thus be "safe" meant you were looking only for tiny little white spearheads, which really don't stand out contrast-wise with the rest of the level. Insta-death traps need to be SUPER obvious during motion, and not just while you're looking at a static screen at rest not having to track all the other movement in the game and plan your jump arcs and whatnot.

Sticking points aside this was one of the more artistically cohesive platformers I've come across in this jam. Well done!

I loved the art and the music. The movement felt great and responsive and the combat was juicy. This was one of the best games I've played and you really made an amazing game! The only thing I'd like to see is a more original concept or mechanic. You definitely did incredibly for a game jam though!

The art is this game was great! Really nicely done. If anything maybe a tad too many particles but I'm just being nitpicky.

The gameplay itself was nice, you made a pretty satisfying platformer. The camera was maybe a little too bouncy for me, especially when lining myself up for a jump with short movements. Reading the comments, it looks like I missed a secret gun so I had to kill the boss with the pistol!

Overall this game had a really great aesthetic, palette, and animations. A great entry to the jam, well done.

Awesome game i like the use and mix of the art i haven't seen like that before

boss was little bit hard there was no much ways to fight it other than running to corners and jumping

i like the effort you put on background and especially fire, thumbs up

Thank you sm! I took a lot of pride in creating the art xD

Nice atmosphere, fitting music and effects. Good game.

It's a bit hard to play, some spikes are hard to identify as a hazard at first glance.

I only got to jump to the first platform, I could not find a way to jump as high as I needed, so I had to kill the boss with the initial gun.

Developer

Thank you ^-^'' I wanted to include a few sign posts that told the player what was dangerous and what all you could do with the jumping mechanic, but I ran out of time xD Were you able to defeat the boss with the pistol?

Submitted(+1)

Yes! I was a bit tedious but it was a matter of running to the wall, shooting and jumping over him at the last second.

You poor soul x'''D

The game looked and sounded pretty awesome! Though the jumping was a bit awkward like Richard Woods said I don't really have too many other complaints. good job man!

Developer

Thank you sm! I should've explained the jumping mechanic a bit more in the game ^~^''

Cool little game. Some of the jumps are a little awkward to make, feels like you have to get lucky bounce off one of the enemies to get up high enough. Was exciting to find the hidden machine gun to use against the final boss.

Developer(+1)

Something that I forgot to mention in the game is that you can go through floating platforms ^-^'' It is definitely the key to successfully defeating the boss xD

Had a fun time playing it even with the small problems it had ahah
Got scared real hard when i saw the boss's health

I like how you added variety to the game as you progress to keep it fresh. now alot of games do that^^

Keep it up!
