The music stopped after around 17 seconds of play time...
The controls are really weird... If you ask me to shoot with the mouse, I would expect to be able to aim with the mouse. The controls as they are feel more like those of a tank than a spaceship.
I understand, but this is an Asteroidz clone, so thats the point lol

Cool game! Would prefer to have a visual representation of how many lifes you have left and a litte bit more polish
thanks! I ended up having only like 8 houra to do it, so it lacks a lot of polish, but at least I did it xD
Quite a fun little game the controls felt comfortable and the ship responded well to the boost, the opposition bullets flew a bit too fast to dodge them so maybe increase shooting rate but decrease shot speed to increase how well skill comes into it. Overall though a fun little game, nice job.

took me a while to figure out how to start the game :) i thought i was already in the game looking at the text on the screen :D
A little difficult to aim, but good job finishing!
Finishing was my greatest concern, I ended up using only 6-8 hours because of procrastination. I basically did it in one day lol.
I will try to improve aiming too, maybe I will do everything a bit more slow since I still want that Asteroidz movement

Yeah the clock has its problem but I am glad I even figured it out, I was going to do just a simple score based on only seconds, but decided to do the clock and struggled get those zeroes, but a few more ifs could have solved it.
I will try to add a health counter as soon as I figure out godot signals better
