Great graphics, fun game! I included it in my Movie Game Jam compilation video series, if you’d like to check it out! :)
now that I understand how to play it was very well executed. A great task management game. I had a blast, the art and music is fun!
Yay! Thanks for giving it another go!
Not sure what I was suppose to do to move around. Seemed to be stuck, help me out with some controls and I will check it out again.
It's totally mouse driven, but you need to click on the particular things that you want to interact with, you can't move around freely. So you click on the kettle to make tea, the freezer to thaw meat, Ed to hang out with him, and Elizabeth to hang out with her. The tea and meat become clickable when they are ready. I had hoped to get some more obvious indicators of what was interactive in, but ran out of time!
Thanks for checking it out anyway!
Made one of our Top 5 games!
Wow, thanks so much! Great video!
Very good looking game.
And Sean run animation is an instant hit!
I think gameplay could be broadened a little bit. Or maybe it is because of simplicity the game is so meditative and pleasant - I don't know)
Great work!
Thank you!
Really good aestetics and sounds. Amongst the best in the jam, for sure. Also a fun game. I particularly liked the fact that it explores what would happen after the movie storyline is finished. Also, I like the progression of the dificulty. It seemed that you made it become harder with time though I can't really tell if you did.
Thank you very much! It is only supposed to get harder after you win and opt to try again, but the feedback I've had is that the difference in difficulty for the second attempt is not appreciable...
wow, this is one of my favorites of the Jam so far. Love the little stuff in the animation like how he frantically looks back and forth when idle. Also, I think this is the first time I've seen a game made with love2d. Totally want to check that out now too
Thanks very much :)
Really clean pixel art and colour palette, well done animation (all of the smears are ace!), great music and sound -- just super polished and impressive, especially for a one-person team. Loved it
Thank you so much! It was my first time really using smears in animation, so I'm glad to hear that they worked out ok!
One of my favs from the jam so far. Love the pixel art and a great movie to pull inspiration from!
Thank you :)
Now THAT'S what I call multi-tasking! *phew* :D
I love Shaun of the Dead and was following the progress of your entry on Twitter with much interest. I'm glad that not only did you finish the game, but it's also a corker of a little number. Nice & unique gameplay (IMHO) - a little resource manager I guess. But it's the GFX style that win it for me - it looks great. The music is also nicely done too.
Overall, a lovely little slice of fried gold - congrats! :D
Thanks very much :)
Pretty cool, a bit too simple perhaps, maybe adding more things to do would have made it a bit harder. Also, it took me a bit at first to find what to do (had to click around a bit randomly), maybe something visual, a little arrow that points in the direction of interactable items, would have been helpful!
I love the movie though and I enjoyed the game, so good job :)
Yeah, some sort of highlights for the interactable items was definitely on my todo list, but, y'know, time...
Thanks for playing!
