I think you misunderstand. By saying "The prizes are yet to be determined" I am referring to additional prizes. If you get first place you will of course get your $2,500 however, you failed to read the rest of the description which said the prizes for the rest of the Top 5 are yet to be determined. I can leave the prize only to first place however, that would not be fair to the other entries.I want to clarify that when I said "The prizes are yet to be determined," I meant that the additional prizes for the rest of the Top 5 are still being decided. If you come in first place, you will receive the $2,500 prize. However, I understand if you missed the rest of the description, which mentioned that the prizes for the remaining Top 5 entries are still being finalized. I could decide to award the prize only to the first-place winner, but I believe it wouldn't be fair to the other participants. Please read the description before commenting.
