Nice game, those 2D artworks are really good, even on 'finished game' level!

As other comments already pointed out, you should rework the aiming system, as there's no real indicator on where you would shoot and you actually have to aim below your target to hit it.

But apart from that, this game has really nice looks and feel to it for being a GameJam submission ^^

So my only big problem with this was the shooting mechanic. Aim was clunky and i could not figure it out, some feedback would be also nice about hitting shots, and getting hit. Also, some friction could help to not feel like zombies are skating on ice when i hit them. Plus the level could use some variate, boxes, corners and such. If you fix or consider such things in the future things can be quite better, but this was good nonetheless.

The SFX were very good. I played wearing headphones and the sounds from zombies clearly indicated from were they might come. The only problem I faced is with aiming. It took some time to get used to. Many times I though I hit the zombie but I didn't.

As a suggestion, can you increase the reload speed so that players can shoot at faster rate. Killing enemies fast will keep players engaged longer.

nice game! but if theres one problem that needs to be addressed its feedback! when i shoot a enemy i have no idea if they even got hit or took any damage, i dont have any idea of how much health they have, the guns aim is off but it looks like thats for aesthetics shape, even then i cant tell if im aiming at the enemy or not and where their hitbox is. i came to assume their hit box is their shadow not as a player but knowing how someone might have made this as a developer. there was no tradeoff for sprinting so i found myself just holding shift the same time and this is a common mistake i see developers make, either just have one set walking speed or treat sprinting as a ability, like all things it should have some cost whether it be a cooldown (time) maybe a bit of vulnerability after running to long, or energy, etc.

aside from that you still have a very interesting concept here that can be taken in some amazing directions, for example ammo could also be your ammo and shooting will cost you progress to your goal or something like that. i really hope you do more with this and cant wait to see what you make in the future! congrats on submitting

The art of this game is beautiful and the gameplay was cool as well. As an Improvement the courser should be visible for better and easier aiming. Great game!

Thank you for your kind words =)

Nice game, It was so hard though (or I'm just a bad player XD). I could only get two ammo boxes to the safe area.
Feedback:
- Since this is a 2D shooter game, I needs an image at cursor to let player know where its aiming.
- When I started the game I couldn't hit a zombie and then notice that all bullets were going above target (The aiming needs improvement).
- Honestly I found the zombies animations quite funny, and made me laugh, but definitely needs improvement as well.
Overall, it is a pretty good game for a Jam. Hope to see more of this game since it was very enjoyable to play :)

Yep, you are right, I noted the feedbacks! Thank you for playing and rate! (and, yes, you are a bad player(sorry :*) hahaha)

The overall scene and visuals look really nice in stills, though the animation of the zombies need some work (they tend to glitch out a lot). I liked the challenge of aiming the gun. It was a bit frustrating at first, since it doesn't aim precisely where the cursor is, but it wasnt too bad once i got used to it. I quite like the atmospheric effects you employed, they really help sell the setting. Overall, nice game. As someone who also submitted a zombie themed top down shooter on this jam, I'd say this is pretty good competition

Actually, I need to overhaul many things because I was able to code for only 1 day. Also I couldn't add things like increasing the intensity of the rain and dimming the lights a little bit in over time but yet I'm happy with the result. Thank you for playing and rate!

>increasing the intensity of the rain and dimming the lights a little bit in over time

damn, ngl, that actually sounds like a cool challenge, with obscuring the other enemies from view. Looking forward to seeing that once it drops

Awesome game! I like your take on the theme a lot. Completely changed a boringish theme and made it your own, and it worked! The only question is, how do I kill zombies behind me? Congratulations :)

I enjoyed the idea mostly. I mean basic zombie horde, cant go toooo wrong. But the aiming was offset to the mouse which was brutal, You can not tell when a zombie is hit or dead. Maybe flash red for hit, and either just disappear or clearly show that they are dead by making them go to the ground very clearly. Still fun though, good work!

Yea "dead" anim has some problems :P Thank you for playing and rate!

hey, its a fun game, good graphics, but weird animation. The gameplay is hard to understand, but overall it was a fun experience playing it.

I don't want to talk about animations HAha ... There is a bug at "Dead" anim (obviously lol) but i don't want to fix it within the rate time.

Thank you for playing and rate!
