It's a very good game. I love the audio, and the gameplay is quite smooth. It's pleasant to play, and the graphics give it personality. Very good game, although I found a bug at the end of the first level. When I move down, the transition repeats and doesn't go to the next level.
The gameplay is basic but fun. I had a pretty nasty bug that wouldn't let me get past the tutorial level, the transitions were busted on it. But I reset the game a few times and then it worked. Good job though, I got all the stars!
Thanks for the review and for the full walkthrough of the demo! I know about the tutorial level bug, but unfortunately I found out about it the day after the game was posted when I gave it to a friend to play, and even more unfortunately I have no idea why this bug can happen, I checked the code several times but didn't find any errors :( (if I restarted the tutorial level through the level select menu, the bug disappeared for me, that's even weirder)
I made my game in Godot as well, if you need help finding that bug I could try to give you a hand
I got all the stars, the game is fun and I don't think it's that bad at feeling like a NES game.
Thank you for the game and for your feedback, in the future I want to continue to refine the game and increase its length. Looking at other people's projects, I really don't have to worry about the NEC feeling after all
