OMG all five stars for me. Love the design, logo, and NES box graphic. Having three characters with adorable squeak sounds just pushes it over the top for. One of my favorite games of the jam. Good luck!

A delightful game - the spritework is beautiful. Figured out I could negate knockback by swapping characters, which helped me a bit. Squirrel was definitely my most-used character, it seemed to even be able to jump slightly higher than the llama! It seems like WASD isn't quite coded properly as I couldn't seem to use W to initiate vine climbs, but arrow keys work fine. Climbing can be a bit finnicky, I'd prefer to just be able to hold up rather than have to let go and press it again in order to get the next vine as some of those jumps were super tight.

All in all I had a fantastic time exploring the mountain, I'd definitely say this one belongs on the NES. My final score was 10/10/9, couldn't find that last fish (I assume) for the life of me!

Thank you very much for your comments and observations. So far, you are the one who has scored the highest, I believe. So, to unlock the good ending, I want to show you the location of the fish. My apologies, as I didn't change its position in my rush, and I think no one noticed.

NOT BAD.

Some speeds and the way you sometimes get stuck and/or ejected when touching spikes feel a bit off but overall I still had fun playing the game. I specially like the open dungeon, and switching between the three animals to use their abilities to choose one path or another was very cool. The animations of the animals are on point and the difference between walking sounds between the three is funny, I like it.

I loved the sense of exploration you get with the interconection of the level design, reminded me of Adventure Island 4. The feeling of NES is definitely achieved!

Really fun and nostalgic level of challenge. I was starting to get frustrated then I remembered the true NES games... "Am i going to let this game beat me? Or am I going to be the victor???" And it was game on. You can watch me struggle here but prevail with a "not bad" ending. That's good enough for me !

Very cool mechanics, interesting variety of platforming challenges, a little bit janky with the physics sometimes and a couple frustrating bits, but I really appreciated having unlimited health to keep trying without starting over completely.

I really liked the animal swap mechanic. The game looks and plays good and I also like the music! My first run I got the bad ending haha. Nice entry! Enjoyed playing your game :)
