In a sea of Vampire Survivor clones and Balatro failures this game manages to achieve greatness by not being shackled by meaningless standards most game devs lose themselves into. The RPG Maker assets, spelling mistakes that add humor, loose plot, the freaking PUB. A game dev shackled by their inner cringe would not do these things yet alone execute them the way Jumble Fruit does.  And yet.

This lack of hesitation is the very strength of this game. It allows for an interesting puzzle-like progression, clever humor and gives its player at least a FULL HOUR of gameplay. This unironically makes this the best game of the jam. This game is freedom incarnate.  More could learn from it.

Thanks for playing!  the pub was fun to mess with XD

There's something I'd like to clarify immediatly : the creator knows what he's doing.

A non-discerning eye would point out the spelling mistakes without noticing that every occurence of the word "water" is spelt "watter". This is carefully respected throughout the game. There are other obvious "mistakes" that I will not explain, I'll let you sharpen your sight.

This game is indeed silly but this is the raw vision of it's creator and it's a very respectable game. I finished it in one hour and thirty minutes. I got surprised more than once by clever tricks the game pulled on me, and the game doesn't overuse them.

This is a goofy game, but goofy doesn't mean not serious. Someone with great perception can appreciate what is laid by this game and I see through the dark.

Good game.

Thanks for playing the game!  Glad you like the funny little details I added XD

There's a save state with progress of the game.
There are some collision issues and tiles misplaced.
A shop sells a duplicate of the same thing.
There's a collider that teleports you to a place that gets you stuck.
The spelling mistakes were pretty funny.
When characters give you things you have to tell the player what they get.
For your first game I think you did a good job even if the game is generic it has some cool ideas, I wish you good luck in your game dev journey.
This is the best Jumble fruit land city game of all times.

Thanks I do need to work a bit more on items, and also on battles. lol I must admit I was wondering if someone would Menschen the save already in the game XD

oh um where is the collider issue at?

Submitted(+1)

It spawns you on top of the solid floor cracks, hope this helps.
Yeah, battles could use a bit more balancing, but they work well.

thanks that does :  )

There is alredy a bias towards downloadable games and making players also download some stuff is well from 3 party makes it even worse. I think its a nice beginer project i was playing around with  rpgmaker years ago. Also i liked the mage's room didnt know you could loop rooms like that buti guess it uses the same feature as for world map so you could travel it like a globe.

Developer(+2)

that is good to know, for the next time I'll try to have play on the website. thanks for playing i had a lot of fun making the Mage's room and the stuff around it XD

I'm assuming that you're new to game developing. There are several things that could use improvement from creating events to writing stories. I also recommend making your own assets. There are also a few spelling mistakes and bugs here and there. As someone who also uses RPG maker, you have a long way to go, just like me. But if this is your first game or one of your first games, it is pretty creative and ambitious. It certainly is an interesting story. Welcome to game developing.

Thank you, I definitely want improve in RPG maker before I look into assets. at the very least make sure there not as many bugs in the game XD

All my fruit based dreams came true. Theres a few spelling and grammar mistakes but its still a short fun RPG.

Developer

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I hope to improve to make a longer better game with some custom assets later on XD
