I loved the pixel art and the background music. A very relaxing experience!
Really nice game.
The pixel art is pretty good and follows the colour limitation well, animations are reasonable though they could probably be a little better.
The spikes are a bit tricky to see.
I like the ambient music although it seems to cut out before looping and is a bit quiet. The game definitely needs some sound effects though as they seem to be missing.
The rune puzzles obscure the lower part of the UI when playing the game windowed which made me think the game was bugged until I played it in fullscreen.
It's hard to see how the mechanics tie into the jam theme outside of the use of the colour limit.
I enjoyed MushRunes and think with more work, content and polish this could become a good metroidvania.
Love the art and the controls although the spikes were a bit hard to see. Would love to see more. Great job
Amazing work!! Your pixel art rocks! Also i thing you have the fundamentals for a complete game.
What i think could be fun is to give hints to the player for the "totems" around the area so the player could look for it instead of putting them random.

Hello! I liked your game. The mush character was very cute and I liked the art. I also like the little puzzles and the skill unlocking. It was cool how you could combine skills, like jump + atk/jump + dash. It was like a mini metroidvania!
A few critiques: the spike hazards were a bit hard to see, the light effect a bit wonky, and the movement was a little rigid. Also wasn't sure how it fit the theme. Seemed more like knowledge=progress?
Overall a great effort!

This looks and feels very complete, I'm impressed with how well thought out the level and introduction of new mechanics are. Also nice use of the color palette!
