Its a pretty neat game! It reminds me of dark souls, but for a nokia! Sadly that resolution was just killing my eyes and i just couldnt finish the whole thing but regardless, solid game!
This is the kind of the game i was hoping to see! art is great, sounds does not fit the "nokia style", although its great. I am having problems in map navigation, but art is great and if time reverses i would love to play it on NOKIA :)
Also: was it done with LOVE2d?
Thanks for playing! We really wanted to make the game looks enjoyable in a way or another, so we're glad that you liked the art for it! But since we worked too much on the art and the programming we didn't really had much time to work on the sounds and such, which is a shame.
Glad to know you would want to play it on NOKIA, since i think was pretty much the intention behind the JAM. And we made it on Game Maker Studios 1.4 :')
The art is beautiful but I can't see whats happening too often because of the screen size! Please consider uploading one at a higher scale!
Thanks for playing and for the compliment! We plan to upload it on a larger resolution once the ratings for the JAM ends!
I love the art for this game, however, even at 2x resolution, it's quite hard to see. I would consider a minimum of 4x.
The music, while lovely, sounds less like the sawtoothy blips of a nokia and more like a midi instrument.
I really wanted to beat this game, but I couldn't seem to progress past the area after the first boss. The controls have a low latency, making it tedious to navigate at times.
Thanks for playing! Althought the resolution comes out as a problem if the games gets too zoomed on it looks pretty confusing since everything has so few pixels, so by the time we sent the game for the jam we didn't play test it in larger resolutions. We may upload it in 3/4x in the future, just waiting for the ratings to end.
The music were made during the last day and added in the last few hours of the game jam, so we didn't have much time to work on it since the programming and such were our priorities.
I mostly play games that are really slugish most of the time, so it probably influence my way of thinking when it comes to game designing. Sorry to hear it somehow turned to be tedious by the end, we couldn't come up with anything to improve the exploration of the game thus making it more enjoyable to play.
