A really creative concept, the music is great, and I like the character designs!

Developer

Thank you!

Good adherence to restrictions, appropriation of the theme and music to set the vibe! The black out went for a bit long and it would have been better if I could have moved people to safe spots but I still managed to save 4. As long as the dog is ok I'm ok haha

Developer

Thanks for playing and the good feedback!  I'll shorten the time in the dark in a future release.

Interesting idea. Murderer waiting to act until night is a clever approach to ON/OFF theme. On the other side I have a feeling the game is not polished. On first try I got 2 actors killed and then got 3 points, every other try I moved all actors to the edge of game and nothing happened even after some time. Maybe is this issue Firefox-specific?

Thanks for the feedback. There was more I wanted to do with the game but I ran out of time.

I think you found a bug, because I am able reproduce the same outcome in Firefox and Chrome by taking a character too far off the bottom of the screen. I wrote code for detecting borders but the bottom border never worked, however previously it wouldn't stop game continuance but I see now that it does. Next time I release a more polished version I'll fix the issue.

Nice game a it fits the theme well but i was a bit unsure as to what was happening

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback. I think I need to make the time in the dark be a shorter period of time.

Fits the theme very well. Would like to see different characters as the murderer.

Thanks for playing and feedback! My original plan was that the user could select if they wanted to be the murderer and which character to be, but then I later realized I couldn't get that done before the jam end date. Thanks for validating the idea, I'll plan on adding it in a future release.

I like the main idea and how it sticks to the jam optional ON/OFF theme.  I also appreciated your music, it helped to convey mysterious atmosphere. Great job !

I like the idea but have some problems to actually control the characters. Anyway the direction is good, please keep working on it after the rating phase of the jam is completed!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback and words of encouragement, I think there can be a lot more to this game by working on it more.

This appears to work as intended, but I'm afraid I can't see any real strategy in it. You get barely any time to identify who you're controlling at the start, and then once the light's off there isn't really anything you can do. It's also impossible to tell what's going on in the darkness - some sound would really help there. Still, it definitely fits within the Jam restrictions and it's an interesting take on the theme.

Thanks, this is good feedback. The timing of the darkness needs to be adjusted, and I need to give sound clues.
