This was surprisingly fun! If it weren't for time, I would have totally tried to 100% it. Great job!

The graphics and game feel was nice, but it was hard to enjoy because it was displayed in fullscreen. Such low resolution doesn't fit well with a bigger screen. I tried forcing it into a smaller windowed mode, but no dice.

Love the prizes, btw!

I can see this game has potential, however it does suffer from some oversights (apart from the bug). If you just spam the up and down arrow keys, you can play indefinitely (even with the bug breaking your screen) without any effort at all. A simple solution could be to penalize the player for pressing a direction when there's no duck there, for example by having the hook stay on that side and making the player unable to press any directions for half a second. What confused me on the first couple plays was that after gameover, you're sent to the gacha screen; at that point I hadn't figured out how to play yet and had 0 tickets so it made it annoying to try again. Finally, in the prizes screen, for some reason the cursor goes a bit randomly when you just press right - sometimes it goes down or backwards.

If you flesh out the gameplay some more, you could have a really nice game with a good incentive to keep playing. The gachas are a very good idea!

EDIT: I figured out how to play it (was too stupid and couldn't find the game page where it got explained). Fun game but at levels 2-3 it got super pixelated for me and it was a bit tiring on the eye (maybe a design decision)? ALso maybe add some feedback on when you move the hook because at first I thought it wasn't working.

Hi, thank you for trying our game!

The extra pixelation was not intentonal but a bug we didn't have time to fix. I know it's not the best solution, but you can wait a few seconds until you lose all the lives and the level will end, then lead you to the gaccha, where you can navigate to all the other menus.

We will keep working on the game, so please come back to try it after the game jam rating period ends ^^

Thank you for your feedback!
