These 6 images are a standard Cube Map, as in the picture:

I don't have Python installed, and this program doesn't run on me.

I liked this tool with a nice design, the color selection works well, the presence of layers is also a useful thing. I was pleased with the small file size.

But there are still many mistakes and shortcomings - it is impossible to change the background color, the menu by pressing the MRB does not always correspond to the context, the cancellation of the last action does not work.

There are no "download" or "run" buttons.
And the topic is very interesting. I write almost everything I write in basic, only it's VB6. My works for this and the previous contests are written on it.

Potentially, I would be interested in a compiler for new platforms.

Thanks for the feedback.

The sun has been there for 5 days, maybe you downloaded the old version before the update.

In the future, planets may also appear, I did not have time to meet the deadlines of the competition.

The skyboxes are saved in the Export folder

Update! Now there is the Sun.

Ready!

The Tool Jam 3 community · Created a new topic Space Skybox

Hello everybody!

It's a great jam, and I'm in it again. This time I'm going to make a space skybox generator.

Don't worry, I didn't lower my grade for that.

Here I asked this question, but the answer is not very specific:

https://itch.io/jam/nokiajam5/topic/2574730/faq

Somewhere in the Discord, this was discussed in more detail, it's hard to find now, but I remember that I made such a conclusion then, and in my game, in addition to controlling with combinations of buttons, I provided an option with independent buttons. Perhaps this is not very reliable because I use automatic translation in the browser.

At the expense of the interest of learning to drive a car - I understand the physical principle, but it is counterintuitive to press the button on the right to turn left. All the reflexes of an old gamer rebel against this :)

Beautiful and clear 3D, good sound, but not intuitive controls that violate the rules of the competition - simultaneous pressing of several keys. But the controls could have been done without violations and clearer:

num 1, num 5, num 3 - normal movement.

num 4, num 8, num 6 - turbo movement.

I died quickly the first time, but I figured out how to play.

The second time I dialed 14028, then I just got tired. Too easy.

It's a good idea.

A very serious game, beautifully voiced and drawn. An interesting adventure.

I noticed one bug - if at the beginning you go to the left over the edge of the screen, the player will not return from there, but the game will continue without him.

Thank you for the detailed answer. I agree, graphic design is my weak spot, I'm not an artist.

This is not a clone, my idea, though old. Shuffling is random, but it may not work in Vine or another sandbox.

To run under Linux with Wine, it is enough to put this DLL in the folder with the game: https://disk.yandex.ru/d/-HtgaMCt3MvXQo

Simultaneous keystrokes work in the game, which contradicts the conditions. But it's certainly more convenient to play this way.

An interesting idea, I've never seen such a game before.

The effect on the drop-down blocks with numbers is not entirely clear.

Thank you. It's a pity that the genre of racing is not very popular. I will keep an eye on the competition, I'm making a new racing game anyway.

1. The jam is called "Speed Jam 2", and where can I look at the works from the past "Speed Jam 1"?

2. The rules say that high quality is required,

I recently completed one racing project: https://mikletuapse.itch.io/aos-6-wt

Naturally, I will make a completely new one for this competition, but is such quality acceptable?

I haven't come up with an interesting idea for a game yet, but I've written a simple sequencer for writing music. I suggest everyone who wants to use it.

There is Load, Save and Export to a WAV file.

Controls:

  • Left mouse button - add note
  • Right mouse button - delete note
  • Middle mouse button - change duration

I upload to a third-party file hosting service because this is not a game.

Download: https://disk.yandex.ru/d/SrXPb6WDlTFgAg

And the game, probably, I will make a simple, logical one, without observing an additional condition.

Hello. Two questions.

1. I see a lot of uncleaned spam in the community. I hope that this is not a sign that the contest has been abandoned?

2. Will the processing of simultaneous keystrokes, for example, arrows - for movement, arrows with Ctrl pressed - for action, be a disadvantage? Or was it not done this way on Nokia, is it better to reserve 4 buttons for movement and 4 other buttons for action?

I agree. I'm also used to driving with my right hand, I only shift gears with my left hand in the case of a manual transmission.

Ideally, the control should be customizable, especially since Unity already has a ready-made control settings menu.

When trying to run in Win7-64 complains about the CreateFile 2 function in KERNEL32.DLL . In Win10-64 it starts, but it freezes for 3-4 seconds during the countdown.

Unfortunately, I cannot appreciate this seemingly very interesting project.

Great battle dynamics!

I liked this game.

I read the comments of other participants - I agree, it would be even better to choose the direction of attack with the mouse.

Great game! Good physics.

A pleasant game with realistic physics. The controls are a bit blunt.

I have passed 5 levels so far. Great idea!

I couldn't cope with the voting box on my Windows 7-64 computer, I tried it on another computer where Windows 10-64 - the voting box also collapses. And now I tried it on an old computer with Windows XP-32 - and everything worked!

Something is wrong with technological progress...

There is also a problem with the voting system - when I try to mark any star, the page collapses, I cannot vote according to all five criteria.

I see that there are 82 entries in the jam at the moment, but there are only 45 of them on the page with the entries, including my game is not visible: https://mikletuapse.itch.io/aos-6-wt

It's been like this for three days.

AI of rival bots:

My racing game:

Thanks.

It is important to me that this will not be an obstacle to participating in the jam.

Greetings!

Tell me about the copyright issue. I have my own resources in the game, except for two models of cars that are downloaded from free sources, these are BMW and Audi cars. The models are recognizable. Wouldn't it be a violation to use the very words "BMW" and "Audi" in the game menu?

So I will be preparing for the next stage of the competition.

I join in thanking the organizers. You are doing a useful thing!

This piano can decorate any game... but where is the interactivity? I wanted to press the keys.

Thank you for the detailed comment.

This program uses brightness equalization of different parts of the original image, otherwise dark and light areas will not fit well. This alignment has a radius (the same one), if it is greatly reduced, the image becomes flatter.

At the expense of cutting off excess areas is a good idea, it remains to figure out how to make it as simple as possible for the user, I do not turn the program into a new Photoshop.

On the Mac, the program should work under Wine (I have no way to check) if you add there msvbvm60.dll :  https://disk.yandex.ru/d/-HtgaMCt3MvXQo

I suppose a tool for creating textures from photos will be useful?

There is even a restriction, in accordance with the rules.
