Thank you! I defo feel that the difficulty curve (and the multiple difficulty settings) were my "big win" in this game jam. Good to see others think the same, too. ^^

Thank you! I felt the bad art helped enhance the jankyness I was tryinng to convey with the game. The quick art process also gave me more time to do the sound effects (which I recorded myself).

I'll tell HR to buy regular pens next time. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Absolutely loved the art style and atmosphere!

I never imagined fighting kidney stones could be this interesting

Loved the atmosphere! Also the graphics and thumbnail are so goofy - I love it!

The graphics and music gives the game a really polished feel! However, I think the game would be more readable if the player character was further up on the camera - so you could more easily see threats beforehand.

This game made me laugh out loud. Loved the idea and the execution. Keep up the good work!

The game feels very polished!

The game was so insanely intuitive that I understood exactly what to do after 3 seconds. This shid was made for my tiny pea brain. Love it.

Very atmospheric!

At first I was very confused, but at the second level I had a really good "aha!"-moment, and then the game was super fun. Great work!!

Btw, was the sound effect of the E-monster the EA Sports announcer??

Buying the separate pieces of the monsters was a little confusing at first, but I understood after 1-2 waves.

I love the concept, and the graphics and animations had a nice level of polish!

Got me laughing out loud at one moment. Fun game and great job!

Thanks for the feedback! I'll possibly add a fullscreen button later.

I love the platform mechanic! Sometimes the snowfall was a little too random and made it hard to progress at certain points, but the music, vibe and execution of the mechanic more than makes up for it!

Defo a top contender! I love how the game is both easy to understand but has strategy and depth to it. I got to lvl 12 in the endless mode. Top hat OP. 😁

The music, droning atmosphere noises and the changing layout of the house reminds me a lot of "MyHouse.wad".  All of that vibe in a simple platformer - really inspiring stuff tbh. Well done!

You're working in Godot 4 right? Try setting the itch.io window resolution manually to what your godot project viewport size is!

Also try going to Project > project settings > Display > Window and change Stretch mode to "viewport" and Aspect to "keep". Then upload a new project file with these settings. It will most likely solve the problem.

This has solved similar issues for me in the past!

Test the solution on a separate project draft, just in case.

Thank you for the feedback! I was hoping on getting in those animations, but I didn't have enough time. I feel that without the animations it's quite unclear how long you have left before getting hit and what not - so I completely agree.

Loved the gameplay and the concept! I'm bad at doing math, but I enjoyed this. However I think there is something wrong with the viewport settings in the game. I had to scale down the page to 50-67% for the game to display correctly.

Eitherway I really like the game and the whole vibe.

Score: 25 | Accuracy 90%

How did u guys manage to make papers please in less than a week?? That's crazy!

Great game btw 😁

Very cute graphics! I also wonder how you did the enemy pathing - where they kind of wobble around while moving in the players' general direction.

One small thing: The transition screen is in a different color from the two blue hues you picked for the color pallette - which is technically not 1-bit. But hey, the rest of the game is tho!

Is it possible for the "Music" criteria to be "Sound", instead?

Games that have no music, but have sound design would  get low ratings because it's technically not music.

I love both the graphics and the music! The purple-ish tint instead of white is quite nice. The music is an absolute bop!

This is by far the best game I've tried in this jam! Like you mentioned, we both went for drawing mechanics - although we went in very different directionss - very interesting! I have to say though, your game is a lot more polished than mine. 😁

Oh for real? I gotta check your game out ^^

Love the concept! I especially liked the moment I picked the curse that takes your health periodically. It made me have to think quickly about what was going on and what would be the strategy to beat the curse.

The art, sound design and storytelling is so striking - it really stands out!

Nice gameplay! I especially liked the upgrade system. I wish there was sound, it would make the game feel so much more juicy.

Very cute platformer! Ngl I got stuck almost immediately tho. The movement itself feels very nice and juicy!

I loooove the graphics and music! Got to wave 9.

Really good presentation! Absolutely LOVED the art, music and the voice acting! I couldn't get to the end tho, the very last part is too difficult for me 😅😅

Good gameplay! Feels fun and frantic! Love the graphics, especially the player character!

Nice concept! I did get lost in the maze tho 😅😅

The core gameplay in this is SO GOOD! I'd love to see this concept expanded upon in the future!

I love the frantic feel of the gameplay!

I really like the art style!

Turns out I also had to change some viewport settings in the game. It should all work now! Please tell me if you encounter any more issues!

Thank you for the heads up! I had set the wrong display size. It should be working now!
