This is by far the best game I've tried in this jam! Like you mentioned, we both went for drawing mechanics - although we went in very different directionss - very interesting! I have to say though, your game is a lot more polished than mine. 😁

Oh for real? I gotta check your game out ^^

Love the concept! I especially liked the moment I picked the curse that takes your health periodically. It made me have to think quickly about what was going on and what would be the strategy to beat the curse.

The art, sound design and storytelling is so striking - it really stands out!

Nice gameplay! I especially liked the upgrade system. I wish there was sound, it would make the game feel so much more juicy.

Very cute platformer! Ngl I got stuck almost immediately tho. The movement itself feels very nice and juicy!

I loooove the graphics and music! Got to wave 9.

Really good presentation! Absolutely LOVED the art, music and the voice acting! I couldn't get to the end tho, the very last part is too difficult for me 😅😅

Good gameplay! Feels fun and frantic! Love the graphics, especially the player character!

Nice concept! I did get lost in the maze tho 😅😅

The core gameplay in this is SO GOOD! I'd love to see this concept expanded upon in the future!

I love the frantic feel of the gameplay!

I really like the art style!

Turns out I also had to change some viewport settings in the game. It should all work now! Please tell me if you encounter any more issues!

Thank you for the heads up! I had set the wrong display size. It should be working now!

Thank you for the feedback! I did notice during playtesting with some friends that the mechanic didn't come so naturally to some as I would hope. I might redo the game in the future and then I'll find ways to make it more intuitive.

Btw, what score did you reach?

How the heck did you do all this in a week?? This game has sooo much content for being a game jam game! Also, I loved the systems and got quite hooked on making the monstrocities. Super good job

This game was fun and also felt SOOO polished!  Great stuff!

It feels like frustration was part of the vibe! Lots of good games are frustrating but keeps you playing.

The game was sometimes frustrating, but I couldn't stop playing! The snappy jumping and fast running felt hard to control at first, but it made me want to master the controls. Liked it a lot!

I really love the whole feel of the game! Graphics, animation and sound effects! Also I love the sudden shift in vibe when you reach the bomb, threw me off so bad but I managed to finish in time.

Very unique concept and fun! I also played on trackpad and it was HARD.

(1 edit)

Love the art style and sound design! I was playing on a laptop with just a trackpad and combat was a little hard with that.

Very promising! Like Seaweeddol mentioned, enemies spawning on a timer would add a lot. Also I love the art!

Very fun, very chaotic. Loved it!

Fish doing phishing. Love it! 😂

Fish doing phishing. Love it!

I LOVE the gameplay! I feel like the sharks chasing you presented a nice little dilemma: should I take the risk of them chasing me or wait them out and possibly starve? The loved the moment I discovered you could also jump out of the water to avoid the sharks. Very solid game!!

Good idea! I will add this control scheme to a new version of the game after the jam!

Very fun and very polished!

I love how you introduced the enemies one by one in lvl 1 and 2, then put them together in lvl 3. A good and slow introduction to things.

I also really liked the mechanics! Especially the bees and choosing between punching or stomping. Made for some nice split second decision making for the player - punching was the safer approach, but could cause problems a few seconds down the line. Really clever game design!

Aside from the game not really meeting the requirements set by the game jam, I had a fun time with this one! Having this kind of physics on this game made it interesting, especially the bounciness of the player character. Good stuff!

The writing had me cracking up constantly. Also the tractor tipping minigame felt like a freaking jump scare. My absolute favorite so far!

Feels really nice and snappy - especially with the hold control setting! Very punishing and kept me on edge in a good way! I managed to get 200.

The graphics and game feel was nice, but it was hard to enjoy because it was displayed in fullscreen. Such low resolution doesn't fit well with a bigger screen. I tried forcing it into a smaller windowed mode, but no dice.

Love the prizes, btw!

Cool concept and executed in a way that's easy to understand!

Thank you so much! 😊 I really liked the idea myself. I'm considering expanding on it in the future when my C# + unity skills are more up to scratch.

If the game is not showing correctly for you, use ctrl + scroll wheel to adjust window size. This seems to fix any UI issues instantly.
