It's gonna be a dating sim. -> It's gonna be a dating sim about awkward teenage years. -> Ah. It's gonna be a dating sim. -> I have been hit by a car.

There's like nothing negative to say about this one. It was constantly playing with expectations, filled with beautiful expressive art of characters human and non-human alike, loaded with details in the early gameplay boards. It's even a wake up and save the world game!

Wait no, there was a zap factory specifically aimed at frustrating me. Luckily, you were too kind with it compared to Sweeney.

Great scenes, great sense of humor, great work with Gadfly's world, great job making the bird an actual threat outside of the final battle, and great job filling the game up with some much stuff to explore just for the fun of it. I won't be surprised if this is a Samantha Sweep.

I just opened the game in the file viewer to see if I'm forgetting everything and got to watch the FMV frame by frame. Incredible.

This game was a legitimately enjoyable experience, fun for the whole family!

As others have said, the game had some great art. It is also worth noting that it had a solid narrative, great story-points, and varied gameplay beats. Though many of the oktrollber games were fun, I think this was the most consistent game and my favorite game of them all. End-to-end, it holds up well as a journey by itself.

Really great work. Thank you for making this!

Nice artwork and good animation on said nice art! I was definitely really surprised by the twist and was totally not expecting a Franz Kafka riff. Interesting and unexpected but woof those time limits are pretty brutal! Trolled?

This was my first Sam A. game and it was love at first sight! The character design and dynamic yet consistent artwork had me appreciating on a level usually reserved for high-minded children's book illustration critique (consider Young Sam as a potential series of ZZT-illustrated books about growing pains??)

The use of ZZT was similarly scintillating—packed with details and goofery but always solidly grounded in its world. I appreciated the gameplay variety and storyline, which started to troll me into incomprehension—a combination of my unfamiliarity with both the Gadfly Goods products and isekai logic in general—but never felt boring or off-tone.

Full disclosure: I got trapped a few times, save-locked, and couldn't finish this game myself [yet]. I lived vicariously through Dos' stream and GASPED at the final boss reveal. It made me feel!!!

STUPID: Not really, a little, on purpose I think

DSTC: There were twists, and turns—trolls is debatable

FUNNY: And sweet

ANIMALS: Undeniably

I'm glad you enjoyed this despite (or because of?) the disorientation.
