I would say I have competition for making a super chill game in this jam, but considering how amazing your pixel art is I really can't keep up haha. Great work
Thanks a lot. I'll make sure to check out you're entry as well :D
Great atmosphere and graphics! I guess we can call your game a chill experience ^^
Thanks a lot, that was the idea of my game :P
I really liked the concept and how the game develops without needing to know anything beforehand.
That said, I couldn't figure out how to fish anything out of the sea! :(
That's sad to know. I hope you're still willing to give it another try. What you have to do is first talk to the Ranger (Girl next to the Campfire). She gives you a Fishing Rod after you talked to her. Then you can just Left Click to Throw the Rod and Right Click to Take the Rod back. For returning the Rod wait until the Exclamation Mark and the corresponding Sound appear, that means that you got a Fish (or something else) on your hook.
Ah okay, because it immediately prompted me with "right click", i assumed that it was time already to right click, and then I thought maybe it's about timing it with the fish that I can see in the pool and maybe pulling back at the right time, so I attempted that a few times and in the end i just didn't give it long enough.
I managed to pick up a fish and two cans! Beyond that, I'm not sure there's much else to do in the game.
I really liked the aesthetic and the concept, I think maybe the execution is missing a little magic to keep me hooked. I'mma give you 4/5! Great stuff
Thanks a lot for playing.
The art is phenomenal. Excellent. Also really enjoyed gameplay :)
Thanks a lot :P
Hey, I really like your art! Pixel art is a lot harder than it looks and im learning that first hand haha. Fishing games aren't what I usually play but I liked the calm setting and background art.
Thanks a lot. I really like the Pixel Art myself. But I'm sadly not good enough to do background art. The credits are on my itch.io Page (Background Artwork was created by Luis Zuno (@ansimuz)
https://ansimuz.itch.io/mountain-dusk-parallax-background)
Still thanks for your nice feedback the calm setting is exactly what I wanted to achieve.
My god this pixel art is BEAUTIFUL
Thanks a lot. I think the 2D Lighting adds as well :P
Fishing games aren't my favourite ones, but I liked the graphics and the music! :D Also I liked the interactive starting screen! Good work overall.
Thanks a lot. I always do somewhat static and uninteresting Menu Screens. So I thought why not spice it up for once :D
Hey this game was very chill. Calm and relaxed ambience about it, reminded me of hiking or backpacking. Great job introducing the gameplay mechanics with the dialogue. I would've liked to see a better balance of fish/trash. I kept pulling up trash, only caught one fish. Maybe even introduce a cooking mechanic?
Innovation: 1/5
Fun: 3/5
Theme: 5/5
Graphics: 4/5
Audio: 3/5
Mood: 5/5
Overall: 3/5
Yeah it's really luck based right now, there is a 50% chance of pulling either trash or a fish.
Still thanks for your kind feedback :D
A very satisfying game with calm graphics
However, if the character moves to the fishing area while the backpack is open, the text is still displayed even after clicking the backpack
Yeah I know there are some issues with the Tutorial Texts, because I work with my own let's say more than optimal Tutorial Manager. I fiddled around with it a lot, but It probably won't get better than it is right now XD. Still thanks for your kind feedback. I'll make sure to check out your game as well.
definitevly a very good one, like your pixel art .. well animated
i come back to test more seriously ;-)
Thanks a lot. I had a lot of fun while doing it .
