A fun mix of Pong and Air Hockey!   I love the way your paddle gets knocked back when you hit the ball!

The biggest thing missing from the game is the ability to put some spin on the ball.  To give it some sideways motion.   In classic Pong this was done by hitting the ball while sliding the paddle left or right.   Another approach would be to add some curvature to the paddle although that would push the game a little more into the Air Hockey direction.

Hi Thanks so much for your feedback! I still need to fix the physics of the game, I guess after doing so, the player might be able to put some spin on the ball. Lots of things to fix. The second option is also a great idea, by the way, when I started making this game, the original idea was based on Air Hockey, then I also associated the idea of the game with pong, but yeah, it's kinda a mix of both of them.

Little rough around the edges but I really like the core concept!  It was fun sliding around the rink as a pong paddle.  Neat idea.

Thanks so much for your comment! Thanks for playing the game as well! I'm glad you enjoyed the concept! :)

Really unique take on pong, I did notice that the main menu was just a solid color, it might to be a good idea to have an AI pong game going on in the background. Also, it might be better that instead of having the playing field reset every time the ball flies out, instead put up an invisible collision around the playing field. Nice job!

Thanks so much for your entry! Yess, I thought about adding an invisible wall, in fact, there's one but it seems like the collision doesn't really work, cause the ball just goes away. I though about reseting the ball x and y to initial position, but couldn't do that on Godot, I'm new with the engine, so there were some things that couldn't do. I guess in the future I'll learn how to do that, and hopefully, fix some of those aspects of the game. The idea of a pong game playing as a background for the menu is pretty cool! Thanks a lot!

Nice prototype! If you continue work on a post-jam version, I'd suggest adding a reset button, as a few times a ball got stuck on the corner of my crystal and there was no way to restart the playing field like what happens when the ball flies away.

Hi! Thanks for your suggestions! I do agree with you! In fact, I was trying to fix those bugs but couldn't. Especially the one about the ball flying away. I wanted the ball to get back to initial position but couldn't find a way to do that yet, and I'll need to fix the collisions on the corner of the cristals cause that is not supposed to happen, I know the ball gets stuck it happened to me too. Thanks a lot for your comment and review!
