Cute and fun but also very simple. Is there any way to clear a board (melt all the ice)? I tried a bunch but couldn't see how a game could last more than a minute or two because it seems inevitable that you will hit your trail and fall in the water, but maybe I a missing something.
Thanks for the feedback and for organizing the jam! It should be theoretically possible but would be extremely difficult. I would have liked to work on the hitbox for falling in the water a little more but ran out of time.
You know you have made a good game when people are posting their high scores. Mine is 3940 (so far!)
Haha thanks! Very respectable score.
Nice arcade feel! I think the inertia is a bit too much though as I quickly felt that I was not in controle of my character.
The straightforward core mechanic along with random hazard really makes me fell like ancient Atari games. Could be a nice starting point for mobile game using touchscreen!
Wow thank you! I would love to turn this into a mobile game some day.
This is a nice quick arcade game! The sound volumes are a bit unbalanced, but otherwise it's all good. The snowballs are annoying, but that's what they're supposed to be. ;-) It's nice that they force you to improvise.
Yes!
Minimalistic, very cute, and enjoyable! The trees overlap the main character when jumping, and it would be nice to restart the game by pressing space (the jump key) instead of switching to mouse and back. Nice work!
Thank you! Nice catch on the trees. I hadn't thought of using spacebar either that's a good idea.
This was fun! Very challenging game though. Got to 4420 after several attempts. Nice balance between racing to melt the pond and avoiding the snowballs. Cool music. Good job overall!
Thank you for the feedback!
this is very cute, I like it.
Thanks for playing!
That tune is going to be stuck in my head all day now
I know, right? Gotta credit 3xBlast the original artist for the ear worm: https://opengameart.org/content/happy-synths-loop-with-slight-christmas-feeling
Very fun little game! Pretty easy to learn but very hard to master. :)
Thanks for playing!
Plays kinda like snake mixed with a bullet hell and a drift racing game, Nice!
Thanks for the feedback! I never thought of the drift racing aspect.
