Very nice atmosphere with the visuals and audio. Especially good choice of music

I suggest audio/visual feedback on actions to make it clearer when things were happening. Often I wasn't clear if my clicks weren't registering or if I was supposed to click more times. I never did manage to till the top four squares

I was able to highlight the trees the same way I could the plots of land, but I never did figure out how to make them do anything

An unfortunate bug - for some reason after some changes to the code, only the very bottom area of the top row of plots registers. I am investigating but it will take me some time to figure out. The trees I didn’t have time to implement a logging system.

Sound effects were in my mind for tilling/planting/harvesting, unfortunately I just didn’t have the time. I really appreciate all this feedback :)

I like the characters and sound, the character preview running was cute. was unable to use the hoe.

The music is a good fit for this game. Very relaxing. Unfortunately only the move controls worked for me using Microsoft Edge. I couldn't use tools or plant crops but it's a good start to the game. Well done!

I really enjoy the ambiance of the game and the music – it instantly puts you in a farm game mood. The concept is simple, which is a good start for a prototype. However, I encountered some issues with using the hoe, but I understand that it's a prototype, and such issues are normal at this stage. I'm looking forward to seeing the game completed!

This is a nice relaxing game and the music fits it well. Looks this game is a prototype at this point, since (unless there is something I am missing?) I can only hoe four plots and there is nothing to do between or after crops sprout. It would nice if this was stated in the description if that's the case.

Yes, this is a prototype - only the second game I’ve ever created. I will add that to the description - thanks! All of the plots are supposed to work, so I have more investigating and testing to do.

Oh, I hate when that happens :(. Hopefully it was due to a minor easy to find error.

It sounds like you already got the jist of it from other commenters, but here's a screenshot of the rows I could activate. As a design suggestion, it might be nice if selecting hoe, etc. changed the image color more prominently or maybe turned on a white outline around the edge.

P.S. Saw someone had to use Edge to get the move controls to work. If it's any help, I'm using Chrome and had no issues.

Always nice seeing farming games! Controls don't seem to be working properly in my browser as maybe one in ten clicks got registered and it wasn't clear why some patches were getting tilled/sown/harvested and others stayed unresponsive. Other than this I'd suggest turning off filtering in your sprites for crisp pixel art if your engine allows it, for example the character select screen has crisp pixel art but the character itself appears blurry due to filtering c: Good effort and keep it up!

I think the problem is the sprite sheets I was using were different, so scaled poorly. I will update that! I actually haven’t applied any filters, so will be mindful when I am scaling the sizes of the images.
