Just wanted to see if anyone had any useful design resources to share for this. Things like cover templates, or commercial use font recommendations.

For typefaces this is good place to start. https://www.acaeum.com/library/tsrfonts.html

For any one there isn’t a freely available version there is probably one or two close clones.

I dunno off the top of my head how many are free for commercial use. I do know some aren’t. It’d be a good idea to check or look for free fonts that are similar.

I mainly emulate Traveller so I stick with Libertinus and whatever neo-grotesk look good to me at the time, I don’t keep the old school DnD fonts in my working memory.

No, they are not. It’s a listing of all of the fonts used in D&D books along with examples. Some of the fonts are free, like Futura, but most are not.
