Description
The soundtrack was composed entirely with LMMS. It has a sort of orchestral feel as it mostly used orchestral instruments, with some piano solos. Climb and fall are for the intro and outro of the game respectively, while the rest are attributed to the seasons. The game is imagined to be a sort of feel-good relaxing adventure game where you journey through the seasons, and reality changes for each season.

Theme:

Story of Seasons

How does it fit the theme?
Bits of Vivaldi's The Four Season in soundtrack. Seasonal songs also had to fit the theme of their respective seasons. Spring is peaceful and relaxing, summer is fun for the summer break, autumn has falling notes, and winter has a glockenspiel and celeste.

LOVE the chords you use for the strings on the track Warm Winter, great job!

There's something about this score that makes me go "Awwww" Its very cute, and I don't mean that in the demeaning way that its used sometimes. It's nailing that sound of adorable characters.  Its full of optimism and joy.

Loving the melody on Summer of All Fun that appears at 0:07. Seriously, this score just makes me think of fat cats bumbling around in a verdant field. That's cool.

Thanks so much! I'm glad you feel that way cuz I always imagined the game to be a story-rich adventure game with lots of lovable characters and seeing this comment confirms I got that aspect right :)

Fun fact: that melody in Summer of All Fun was one of the melodies inspired by Vivaldi :)

Yep, you got it spot on!

No kidding? I didn't recognize that part. I recognized some other bits but not that one. Now I'm curious to hear the Vivaldi bit that inspired it 😁

I got it from here: https://open.spotify.com/track/1Ojz92vyPK4fJ5K8RVnV5u?si=a05e8de8945f4519
Go to 1:05, it's a tiny bit :)

Totally! Thanks for linking the precise song and timestamp.

This is one of my favorite aspects of music in general. Your track and that Vivaldi piece might share notes there in that melody but you totally made it your own through changing the instruments/style of performance/and tempo. It's totally different and yet has that nice reference point for anyone that's paying really close attention.

Sound like something that could definetly make it into a game :) Good job!

Thanks a lot! I appreciate that remark very much :)

I liked the ambience you achieved just with the piano, it's very nice. The appearance of the Vivaldi theme in Spry is quite funny! Good job!

Developer

Thank you! That's what I was trying to achieve and I'm glad it worked out :)

Climb and Spry were a little slow going for me on a first impression. I'm glad I kept going because Summer of All Fun was awesome and I convinced me to push through and listen to everything else.

I'm glad the summer vibes got you listening to the rest of my soundtrack haha, it seems to be doing the trick!

I liked the sparseness of Fall as well as the chill vibes of Warm Winter. Good Job!

Thanks! I was wondering if anyone was gonna like any of the piano solos haha
