Description
A small soundtrack for a fantasy role-playing game.
People of your village have started to turn to stone one by one. You've heard stories of a titan heart at the center of the world that grants one wish, so you decided to run away and find it before it's too late.
Theme:
Runaway
Picture theme
How does it fit the theme?
The character leaves the village without any goodbyes, running away from the curse or disease. They travel further and further away, through exotic lands, eventually reaching the goal.

For me this is the best soundtrack on this jam
Nice mix of melodic and ambient tracks. I like how you pick up the main theme (a very memorable one!) in several tracks. nice job!
Haaaaa no color on your track and worst of all, you don't even name your track !!! How do you organize yourself ?! On a serious note pretty nice retro album, I can picture easily the fantasy RPG style, I really like the tone of Through The Forest, Good job !
Yes, a fellow reaper enjoyer. Hello. I can definitely hear rpg type vibes, like something that could work in a game like old school runescape. I like how you were able to ornament your songs so that they didn't feel too empty or boring. Very good job!

Great job! 😁
The Wish - Nice melody. It definitely has a theme-y feel to it. I can imagine that our hero is steeling himself for the journey ahead here.
Silent Send-Off - This is a nice little BGM. I can just imagine exploring the village. Seeing if really everyone turned to stone or not. Maybe looting some of their stuff >_> :D
Through The Forest - Oh yes, that sounds like a forest. I really low how deeply these choirs(?) have been pitched. They give it a very wet earthy feel, which is great!
Battle! - I like how you open this one with what almost sounds like a reveille. Battle themes are hard, but I think you did well on this one. I'm curious what kind of game you pictured with this. I'm getting tactical RPG vibes from this.
The City Of A Thousand Professions - Cool! Really sounds like a city. I'm guessing people here haven't been turned to stone? I'm guessing that because this one sounds much more light-hearted. Good work.
Crossing The Sands - Oooh, are we heading to the middle east (or some fantasy desert) now? If so, you nailed it. That melody really invokes a desert feel.
View From The Peak - Nice. Feels like a moment of tranquility. Calm before the storm. :)
The Beating Heart - I like the heart beat element you added to this track. It works really well here! I also quite like that "noise" that's on the pad. It almost seems like noise that I sometimes hear in modules with lowered sample rates for some instruments. It sounds really nice here. It adds a mood. Is the final level a dungeon level? Also think the reversed drums are a really cool touch.
Overall, really well done! Really sounds like a soundtrack with all the bells and whistles of a soundtrack! None of it felt off and everything felt really cohesive and nice. It feels like you indeed took me on a short adventure. Also impressive that you made so many tracks in such a short time without dropping the ball even once. I'd totally play a game with this soundtrack.
My favourite was Through The Forest. Those choirs were great!
thank you for your analysis!
Hi! When i read the story, the first thing that came to my mind was the music of "Pompeii"... You have to run to save yourself. Thats why i thought I'd listen to suspense, horror and despair. But i felt like winning a fight. Still i like it.
I like what you've done with your sounds, there is definitely some clever work here. I usually try and pick out a favourite track/part, but in your case I couldn't separate three favourites - 'Battle!' (which was a cute battle background track that reminded me of Defender of the Crown on the C64 from forever ago for some reason), 'The City of a Thousand Professions', and 'The Beating Heart'. Well done!
This is awesome. It's a great mix of simplicity and yet very whimsical and lovely. I get a feeling of playing a fantasy rpg on my windows 7 computer, which is a very niche situation because I have never had that feeling before. The music fits the idea, and its composed very nicely to meet the situations. Great job!
Your melodies are incredible. I love the simplicity of the first melody "The Wish". I'd say that's your best quality, your melodies are great. Really.
Thank you!
