Description
In the fantasy world of Testaria, hunger crawls everywhere. The people are praying every day, more and more, as faith cramps up like never before. The gods have been helpful enough to give food and hope to everyone yet. But, a prophecy written by the gods on the front of ancient temples seems to predict the end of this time. "A baby, with eyes of light, will cause fire and blood, and after five moons, the end o..." (The temple is broken, we can't read the rest of the text).

A priest claims that he discovered the end of the prophetic writings. He finds the wicked child and tries to save him, neglecting the hopes of the population. In a last movement of bravery, the villagers try to get and kill the baby before the prophecy accomplish. The priest runs away into the woods.

The player is the priest who flees the horde of angry people. You run away in the woods, using the child's power to protect you. He's the only one who knows the real fate of this world.

This is an orchestral soundtrack to fit a fantasy RPG in a fairy tale-like world. It is composed of five tracks : Child Theme, Village Theme, Chased Theme, Forest Theme and Snowy Theme.
Child Theme represents the magic child, with its mystic powers and unknown capacities.
The Village Theme will be played in the first village, a charming little town, with colorful houses and parks full of flowers.
The Chased theme is played while the Priest runs away from the angry crowd. It's ominous and we can feel the fear in each note.
The forest and snowy themes both represent areas, respectively, an enchanting forest and a snowy pin wood.

The tracks were all composed in FL Studio, and were all inspired by the theme of the jam.

Message from the artist:
I had to finish it before 13/07 because of personal reasons.

Theme:

Runaway
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
The story of the game fits the theme as the player (the priest) has to flee the horde of angry villagers to save the baby.

Very distinct and well finished tracks. Distinct atmosphere in all of them. I also like the use of nature sounds here and there. Bell chimes for the icy vibe in the Snowy theme, nice! The Village theme is my favorite. I'd love tho hear this in a RPG. Thanks for sharing!

Groovy tunes! Sounds like once the priest escapes then things are pretty laid back. I'm really enjoying the relaxing mixture of instruments and soothing rhythms. Notably on the child theme for me. Well put together, I'd love to play this game :)

Loved the retro vibes on these pieces - your forest theme is my favourite, really keeps the direction moving

This is so chilled out! Really enjoyed it, especially the snowy theme.

Really liked "Chased Theme". The rhythm was really catchy and set the tone nicely for the ost. Very nice!

Love these! The Snowy theme really makes me think Secret of Mana. And the Village theme is very JRPG-like!

Such lovely little pieces. Melodies are a throwback to old Uematsu work (especially the Village Theme). Also, I don't know what virtual instrument you used for the strings on The Child Theme but they come out really well.

As for my personal advice, you really shouldn't be afraid to keep your pieces shorter, they work just as well, and sometime, a cool melody only needs one minute, though I must say you nailed the right balance with that really cute Forest Theme.

Great story and soundtrack, and artworks!! The Child theme has a mystical innocent quality to it, really nice! My favorite is the Forest theme, love the woodiness! What did you use, Güiro?

Track 1: I love the music box-cello combo! Somehow, this track feels Studio-Ghibli esque, and I quite like it. I do think a change in the repeated chord progression would have done this track well.

Track 2: This is a lovely little village theme, but it takes the same structure as the first track: take a chord progression and add new instruments every repeat. I would have loved more variation in the chords sooner-- but what you have is very sweet, and the harp section half-way through is a welcome change!

Track 3: This track again takes the same structure as the first with the build-up of the repeating chords. That said, I love the intensity, and the tone shift is great. The steady drums give this track an ominous feel!

Track 4: I am a big fan of the playfulness of this soundtrack, and this track especially is a delightfully bouncy and jumpy thing. The percussion is absolutely wonderful. Once again, though, the same structure is used. There is a shift later in the piece, but don't be afraid to make more changes, get weird, and avoid getting locked in!

Track 5: I enjoy how this track brings back the music box from the first track--  it is a lovely little tune, and a very spritely tune. Still, don't shy away from chord changes-- they will add a layer of interest to the music, for sure!

In all, it's impressive what you created, and each track sounds really great timbrally. I am really charmed by this soundtrack!

I'm Impressed with the amount of material you have going in such a short time! Love the textures you have going on in the strings on chase, and the snowy theme is very charming! Nice job :

You definitely captured a style that first came to mind as soon as I saw the picture provided for the jam theme. Really nice touches and appropriately subdued in a lot parts. Reminds me of a game like Kingdom where the game kind of seamlessly moves between phases and the music with it. Nice work!

Only other feedback I have, more out of personal taste, is that I would love to hear one more uptempo track to really provide a contrast to the others. Either way good stuff!
