Description
As a dangerous virus is rampaging through the civilized world the only chance for momentary escape is to seek refuge in nature.
I imagine this to be part of the soundtrack for a short story-driven game (maybe 2D platformer) that shows the protagonist on their trip through the forest trying to distract themselves from the troubling situation and thinking about a future within all the chaos. The forest is gloomy and mysterious by itself. However, since it has become the only safe place left the distraught protagonist experiences it as magical and blissful.
Arcane Green consists of...
- an intro (probably for a cutscene) portraying the slow transition from civilization to nature on the way into the forest
- a looping BGM track (a piece of cliché forest VGM)
- an outro (again probably for a cutscene) for exiting the forest and walking through sunlit fields before the inevitable return back home
Made in Cubase, mostly VSTs with the middle track's solo viola being the most prominent exception.

I love the ethereal feel in Arcane Green, together with the woodsy flute, forest/nature feel. Also nice touch with the strings, very beautiful in a non-overwhelming way. Thanks for sharing!
Great atmosphere and music fits very well the story! Good work!
Intro is one of the best I've heard, super original I love the reverb used and the melodic sound, there is a couple of annoying frequency to cut especially in the high-mid range. Main track had some amazing moments of grace I really liked, I would have loved to hear some of the intro kind of vibe a little bit more into it, but overall its a really nice piece, really well done its a shame you don't have that much rating, its super underrated.
A Path Out: I love the transition from the grating machine-like noise to the more nature-sounding reverberant ethereal mallet sound. This is a great musical illustration of how you describe the protagonist moving from a place of uncomfortability to one of more blissfulness or of safety.
Arcane Green: I would absolutely love to explore a game forest to this track. The sequence in the middle with the viola and guitar is breathtakingly beautiful. The transition from the minor ambience to the more uplifting melodic section feels so magical and adds great repeatability to this track because I just want to hear that transition over and over. I like your use of pads in this track as well- they are subtle but add so much of the texture and ambience to the forest scene I imagine with this track.
A Path Back In: With this track, I imagine a cut-scene occurring in a clearing in the forest. I think that the dark harmonic modulation toward the end of the melody is great anticipation for the ending of the track which amps up the anxiety that mirroring the protagonist having to return from the safety of the forest.
Overall: I am a big fan of your work and the textures you’ve created in these three short tracks could sustain my attention in a game for far longer than they few minutes they span. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing!
Amazing job. I enjoyed all three equally. I really felt the journey you wanted to take me on with everything you did. Great composition, well rounded arrangement, and just downright sweet OST.
Nice opening. It works quite well for what you want to convey I think.
Arcane Green is quite relaxing. I like the tonal shifts. Keeps it interesting. I think this is my favourite. Also really like the solo string near the end.
I also thought "A path back in" was quite interesting. At first, it seems like such a gentle happy sound, but then the heavy use of vibrato becomes very dark and foreboding. It contrasts so starkly that it works very effectively.
Good job!
Well done overall! The intro starts off a bit grating with the percussion and bass elements, but the rest of the tracks are great all the way through!
Thanks! I'm actually happy about your impression of the intro, it seems to do its job with regard to the story behind it!
