Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
The album theme is based on the short story that hoanglongplanner has written during OST Composing Jam 5 event for his team to visualize, to sum the story up:
The story start with an energetic little girl unable to find her dear friend to play with one day, that day she manically tried to find him around the neighborhood but there was no sight of him. So when she encounter the Moonlight Witch, she plead.
The Moonlight Witch gladly help the little girl, who perk up at the thoughts of meeting him. With a price,
She was trick that almost lead her to her own death in the forest, from falling off the cliff due to the Moonlight Witch push her into.
Near the end of the story, the little girl was able to find her friend but she has to confront the Moonlight Witch who keep captive of her dear friend and was able to dealt a back pain blow to Moonlight Witch.
The tension was high.
But as she look at her dear friend, he assure her that it will be fine in the end.
And it really was
A fine night for the little girl, the boy and the Moonlight Witch.

A Picture Left: There are some very spacey atmospheric instruments that you use in this piece. The constant pounding kept diverting my attention away from the peacefulness which works to your story to convey that the little girl is distressed from not being able to find her friend. The swelling synths are my favorite part of this piece.
Stage Piano Pressure: The piano here has a darkness to it that conveys a sense of foreboding tension. I’m not sure if the hollow plunking sound fits with the piano and pad ambience, but maybe has some representation in the story that causes it to purposefully draw attention away from the background.
Nostalgic: This is an interesting shift in pace. I think your percussion fits the style of the swelling synths and makes this track feel quite cohesive overall. My favorite part of this song is the random delayed synth pulses paired with the more metered bell pattern.
Fate Glows: I really like the slide in the melody, making it feel like a zipping shooting star. In the repeat, the brassy countermelody is both well-written and well-balanced. The percussion adds a lot of energy to this piece which makes me wonder what part of the story this track is representing?
Obstruction: The panning effect of the 16th note synth is really cool. The drums seem a little more subdued in this piece, which I think works really well with the more ambient and mysterious background.
The Door Will Never Be Open Again: My favorite part of this track is at 1:36 when the kick drum comes in with the soft angelic pads overtop and the soft plucky melody playing. I think this part feels so sweet because it comes after the more frantic section just before.
Waiting for You: There is a feeling of longing in this track that I think is best conveyed in the syncopated rising repeated figure. The occasional dissonant notes gave me shivers whenever they appeared, especially toward the end.
Desperate to Find Him: The hard downbeat of this song conveys the desperation and determination that the main character feels. I can imagine this song playing in one of the final levels of the game as it sounds like the final battle or climax is imminent.
Hyperlink to Star: The main loop has such unique harmonies with chords that seem quite distantly related, which I think gives this a space-like feel. There is an interesting mixture of anxiety and calmness in this song.
Hey It’s Showtime: This final track has momentum, but I think that the energy really spikes to the level needed for a final boss battle/climax with the bright synth figure that emerges at 1:44. Overall this seems like a pretty chill theme that also has many relaxing qualities like the gentle pulsing bass and the delayed piano with sweet chords. Overall this is an impressive amount of music your team was able to make in just 9 days and there were a lot of great beats and emotional moments throughout. Good job and thank you for sharing!
great soundtrack! I think obstruction was my favorite piece.
I like how you experiment with sound, and the variety of the tracks! This soundtrack would be perfect for an indie adventure/RPG game. It has a lot of heart. Good entry!
Impressive what you can do with synths only. I hear much diversity between tracks, yet the general feel is very consistent throughout. My favorite is Nostalgia, what an immersive rave. Nice job!
This was great! I loved the whole vibe, and you had some really fun and exciting sounds and textures throughout. My favorite was obstruction!
Nice work, I like a lot of the interesting sounds you all used and one of my favorite tracks was, obstruction. Great job!
really liked desperate to find him, but all tracks fit together nicely and go along with the story excellently. High quality work
I like the amount of variety here! My favourite track of the bunch is probably Nostalgic, I like the synths and the drums there!
Great mix of tracks that would all easily and sensibly fit in a video game. Loved the drum n bass sensibilities in a number of the tracks that gave it a very chill vibe. Impressive.
