Description
I thought it was a steampunk puzzle platformer.
Outer Time - Main title and last level where you manage to stop time.
Spin the Hourglass - Sand prevents you from accessing the time artifact, and you must turn the hourglass upside down to find the solution.
Inside the Falling Clock - Time is running out to grab the second artifact as the giant clock sinks into the void.
I used almost the same instruments for all three tracks to keep the same atmosphere. For each tune, I played very similar chords (Am, F#dim, F, E, Bb), but tried to bring something new to each. No real drums, the rhythm is based on samples of the sound of broken glass, clock and watch clicks .
I used Reason 12 with essentially the basic plugins.
Message from the artist:
It was out of my comfort zone and I'm pleased with the result. I hope you enjoy listening too.
Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
Rhythmic sounds are clock clicks.
One track is inspired by falling clocks.
Another is based on the hourglass.
