Aw that looks awesome! exciting congrats! Thank you so much!

worth it! so fun!

thanks for devving keep up the good work

Hmm... I'm sure there's probably a way -- When I get back to this I'll look into more export options than just recording the track.  Thanks for your inquiry!

Thanks Alex! :D

Thanks for supporting Beat Magic! I am working on new DLC and more music kits, I will definitely take your ideas into consideration for more content!

B&E Digital are both so proud and happy to announce that BEAT MAGIC released yesterday!

Beat Magic is a sample based loop sequencer built using the Godot Engine by Musician and Developer Azakaela

Beat magic comes with "Kits" -- curated loops selected and created by artists like Azakaela to work specifically so that the User of the app has no need for any music theory knowledge. Each "Kit" it comes with features 6 different instrument tracks that can be customized as per the user's preferences..  Every Kit has it's own vibes and with Over 120 loops per kit across 15 kits of music, for a grand total of over 1,800 different loops the possibilities are INFINITE! And that's just in the base edition. The app is a one time purchase, and DLC that will continue to be released regularly is sold separately.

And why not just only have the power of infinite possibilities at your side, but the ability to create and generate a completely brand new song in a matter of two clicks using our innovative Magic mode!

All arrangements can be saved and loaded for later, and not only that -- but songs can be exported to a high quality .wav file, They can even be exported as perfect loops! Also! All the music it makes is royalty free ! For use in any project, commercial or personal, video games, content creation.

Very cool!

We're getting a couple more reports of this behavior and i'm looking into it just fyi -- think it might just be a simple optimization thing I can do -- if that's the case I'll have the fix ready soon.

And keep an eye for tutorials and videos that will be posted on this page in the near future.
There's lots of different ways you can manipulate the audio in the app to account for any limitations of using a loop based sequencer.  As Brooke said, one such way is to add reverb or delay using the effects -- This will add a tail to that can carry over to the next loop.

To provide an overview of how it works just to explain is that some "instrument layers" actually contain samples from many different instruments, this is by design to add vareity. You may notice that similar loops are grouped together by number, for instance 1-4 may be the same instrument playing a different melody, and 5-10 may be another instrument. Because of this, if for example a loop's instrument had a reverb effect on it when it was exported, there may be a percievable seam in loudness because there is no accompanying tail for that sample that bleeds into the next instrument.

Not every kit is designed with leads or keys with varying effects like these and moving forward as DLC is introduced, many of these initial problems will be far less noticeable as I continue to imrpove my system for creating beatmagic Kits.

thanks again for your feedback!

this is absolutely gorgeous!! <3

it wasn't specifically stated cuz I thought you could only submit once :)

might be easier if you share your mod with me on discord so I can have a look, I don't have enough information to help you otherwise.

did you also make sure that the SimpleUILibrary mod was installed and enabled?

I guess I didn't really make it clear but I'm tired now and don't have enough time to update it yet, but clicking the BASS, DRUMS, or SYNTH buttons gives you a completely random arrangement for that instrument.

Also hitting play right now always starts the song from the beginning.

The 90s nostalgia is next level.  I love all the detail here, the building has it's own unique stlye and would fit in an almost any map. Great work here!

A nice spin on the theme, that this place you fondly remember is reconstructed to look as if it had been through the apocalypse for quite some time.

The attention to detail is very intentional and each tile helps to tell a story cementing the diner firmly in the zomboid universe. Well done!

Stunning re-creation of an existing building. You can feel the history. I think this could have benefitted from custom tilework, but overall well done!

Well done; the nostalgia vibes are literally through the roof here -- makes me excited to see what's going on in Project Fallout!  A nice entry, looks like a great diner to hunker down and survive in.

Wonderful homage to the OG mapping experience Lego, and thoughtful twist on the theme!

Actually it seems it'll will be THIS coming thursday as today is a holiday and I missed last thursday hahah

Another fine addition to my collection

Big throwback to the VVVVVV soundtrack with the chip pulse vibratos

Thank you so much for your detailed review! :D

(1 edit)

Here is a basic map -- (the one from the youtube video)

1st track sets the vibe quite well with some interesting synths -- 2nd track adds some strangeness to the mix, 3rd has a very cool underground vibe as you've described -- overall the sounds you use for this are quite relaxing, 4th track adds a bit of intensity (but not very much) 5 returns us essentially to the beginning.

Overall I don't really hear the correlation to theme but it was nice, very creative use of sounds though

Dark Techno and Orchestral are a good vibe and it sets a "race against time" vibe. Nice execution.

Sound design is on point and sells the theme.  Spin the Hourglass has a nice vibe to it

Welcome to Minute Town is cute! I could see this for a casual little game. Well done.

Very cinematic, appreciate all the risers and sfx that went into this as well as the orchestral elements

the fucks all this then

just now realizing I forgot to include arpeggios -- I will get that settled soonishly.
