Description
This is a partial soundtrack for an imaginary JRPG set in a world different from our own. In this game, you play as a group of four friends who quit their jobs and leave their small village to join an illegal expedition to set sail for the abandoned continent. Track 1 plays when you board the ship and embark on your journey. Track 2 plays when you arrive at the abandoned continent and should evoke eerie isolation but also tragic beauty. track 3 is an action packed track that plays when you are ambushed shortly after arriving on the abandoned continent.

Theme

a journey to remember.

How does it fit the theme?
the first two tracks set a tone of exploration and novel experiences while the third track sets a tone of danger. All of this culminates to create a memorable journey for the characters in the game.

Nice. I like the 2nd track the most. Very appropriate mysteriousness!

Very nice stuff going on! I really like the choice of instruments you have throughout! Also, I really enjoy the ideas going on behind the battle theme!

The kinda impressionist melodies and orchestration goes really well with the concept of the game. There is also a minimalist approach that makes it almost hypnotic. Very original!

Very nice instrumentation and melodies. I was missing sime more intensity in the battling against a beast theme tho. It felt more like a common fight theme than an epic boss fight which i think is supposed to be. Great work anyway!

What a change of scenery! Pure medieval, magnificently orchestrated in the first work: one would believe it. The melodies of this OST are a real happiness. The choice of instruments gives an atypical color to the whole, in particular that the styles and references change regularly, varying from time to time and country, while always being masterfully written. An astonishing general result full of creative energy. We find ourselves wanting more, via a fourth music which again will enchant as much as it will surprise the listener. Really very interesting work: well done.

Great Celtic influence without cribbing from existing traditional tubes. I can feel the salt spray; well done and thanks for sharing!

This is a really good ost, superb use of instruments and arraignment.

You absolutely nailed the sailing vibe, and it sounds so much like a JRPG as well. I really like the instrumentation for all three tracks, this was wonderful to listen to!

It really fits for game with sailing motiv! It reminds me of old, classic games :) Good job!

Things I liked

  • REALLY captured that fantasy game vibe
  • Melodies were clear and easy to understand overall
  • The abandoned continent theme has a really unnerving chord progression. Good job with the dissonance there
  • Battle theme was nice and driving

Things I liked less

  • Battle theme could’ve used more going on in terms of percussion in my mind. That would REALLY sell that chugging string rhythm.

Love the battle music so muuuuuuuch!! It's so quirky and exciting! Fadeout to indicate that it's loopable too! Great music <3
