Description
I think genre of my music is japanese folk. Game is about a samurai who needs to go to a journey because he needs to clean his honor from shame
Message from the artist:
Thanks for listening my music. This is my first time I participate in game jam and I'm very excited showing this ^^
Theme
a journey to remember.
How does it fit the theme?
When you listen to soundtrack you can imagine big fields, water caves and etc. like you are going to a journey too. Also the game tells the story about samurai and japan at all

You nailed the theme and I loved the exotic instrumentation. Very thoughtful in setting aside music for menus and credits, and then for various parts of gameplay. Well done.
Not sure how Japanese it is, but it sounds good :)
The thing I'd suggest working on is humanizing programmed instruments. A lot of string-plucked arpegios for example sound very robotic — they need more variation in note velocity and more timing imperfections. Try playing them with MIDI keyboard or program whose variations by hand and use a bit of humanization tool in your DAW. These things go a long way!
Good advice!
Absolutely gorgeous! This is one of those games where I would sit in the menu/loading screen/etc. for a while just to listen to the music. The instruments are gorgeous, and I'm a huge fan of the percussion you chose. Lovely all around.
Nice production throughout, along lots of interesting rhythms and instrumentation.
Perfection! Very fine job indeed!
From start to finish a wonderful, consistent and very thematic soundtrack. I really enjoyed it.
Water themes are generally my favorite part of any soundtrack and this is no exception. Always like some odd timing as well. Thanks for sharing!
I'm glad to hear it because I'm just learning to use odd time
I'm in a prog/punk band and once you get hooked on dropping/adding beats you'll never look back haha
Really cool sound and instrument choises.
excellent sound quality.
Water and Credit are my favourite tracks.
Really good job.

I like this japanese vibe. It's sitar instrument I think? It's cool! Also you are the only person who did music in this style and genre. Good job :)
Thanks. I'm glad to hear a good comment from you ^^
I used a shamisen (japanese guitar)
Example:
Impressive ! 👏👏 War Theme is crazy, love it since the first time I heard it in the devlogs (even though I can hear it expanded since)
I really enjoy how you expand upon the ideas throughout! Great choice of instruments- going the Japanese folk route paid off! War Theme is so cool! Awesome stuff!
Love the use of the motif in this OST! Awesome work sticking authentic all the way through. Don't know too much about Japanese orchestration but I felt like you did very well! When the melody kicks in at the start of the Credits track you really get a sense that the journey has come to a close! Love this OST! Great work! <3
An immersion in a Japanese quest, echoes of koto and flutes. Very exotic, while remaining dreamlike. The very present percussive elements nevertheless remind us that the path of the adventure risks being covered with the body of the adversaries. In this very full and detailed OST, many tracks follow one another, all with the same force, record and depth, despite their great stylistic disparity. The recurrent use of the same theme or rythmic elements in a different way ends up unifying this rich and elaborate OST. The flights and dynamic attacks alternate with softer melodies and held to which the chosen instruments bring an undeniable ethnic depth. A beautiful job, all in subtlety.
Thank you for this big comment.

I like the percussion sections and the shamisen? you used, specially on the war theme. Nice!
Thanks, I'm glad to hear it from you. By the way, I think your work one of the best and you're great musician!
Thanks buddy! I appreciate your words ;)
Wow Amazing!
Ah man I loved every second of this! The instrumentation and arrangement are all fantastic, and that percussion is just incredible. There's so much drive and drama in the music and there's such a lovely emotional edge to the melodies.
This has been favourite listen so far, brilliant work.

I love the menu theme! And the instrumentation in general.
I love it too)
Oh man I love this. The Koto is one of my favorite instruments, really cool to see it used here. Also really impressed how many tracks you did! Great work.
Thanks!
