Very interesting game! I like the way you combined genres together and made a card game that is time-based. It was a little unclear at first that the bubbles were your health, but it didn't take too long to realize what they and the energy bar did. I wish that there were some sound effects or music but I suppose that the time limit was too strict for that!
This game worked well for me, and it looked great too. Thanks for making this!
I love the arts ! those small characteres are amazing and the gameplay is great. Maybe it lacks a bit of explanation about the healt point.
Fun game and very nice visuals, especially the illustrations on the cards.
I thought the gameplay was challenging, but it was a definately not too hard when I got the hang of it.
I did not use the sacrifice function at all on the run where I won. It seemed to me that the effects of playing the cards that you could sacrifice was just as good, if not better, as the effects of sacrificing them, especially the donut.
Overall a fun game, nice job!
Thank you! I think that current sacrifices are sometimes useful, they can help you with faster generation of energy. But overall, if we would have more time, we would probably reworked whole sacrifice mechanic :)
Victory! ha! :D
This game is very well implemented and fun to play! Only remark is that I did not really need / see the point of the sacrifice function as I always had good cards to play anyway.... but regardless, the concept is nice and I also really enjoyed the art!
Thanks!
Yeah, we even planned for sacrifice to have a bigger impact, but ultimately we were limited by our schedule :)
Was excited that I beat it! Thought it was fun, and once you get the rhythm down it's fun. Only complaint is that it starts immediately with no explanation so you kind of get thrown into the deep end. A little overwhelming to have to read your cards while getting attacked. Once you get a feel for it, it's pretty fun!
Thanks! True, some kind of slower start or small tutorial would be less hectic :)
Really nice but a little straightforward.
I finished the game by just playing cards without really thinking about it.
Thanks! I also think that we should add some more "depth" into gameplay, with bigger interaction between player actions & monsters, and some more pronounced combos. About difficulty curve, I think that it's also an interesting challenge to balance easy introduction, and more challenging endgame - for sure it's something to ponder for me :)
The game looks really nice!
Some cards were confusiong if they hade the described effect or not. And it would have been nice if the indicators of what card you have enery to play were clearer.
Solid game play though.
Well done
Thanks! Yeah, I think that we should add more visual indicators :)
Great game loved it!
But I never really used the sacrifice function, it did not seem useful regarding the cards effects.
Really nice idea though!
Thanks for feedback! Hmm, maybe you are right, and we should make the "sacrifice" part more pronounced... :)
