Fun game! I could not figure out a few things, but I like the art of the game. Thank you for making it!
the art is really great, i love those kind of graphics and the atmosphere. But It lack balance between enemy damage and the player damage. But the idea is good.
Uff, yeah... I think this game is too hard for me at the moment too. Maybe you can do a quick rebalancing after the jam and I would love to try it again! :)

However, it is quite punishing if you take into account the time it takes to kill the basic golems.

Nice visuals! However, I could not pick up any of the gold chests that were lying around, I tried pressing "F" to interact but it did not work. I made it to the end of the level but since I had not gotten any items at that point I couldn't sacrifice any :(
I think the enemies were a bit too tough, I was able to kill a few of them, but each fight had me lose some health, even with the invincibility shield, so eventually I was killed :(
But again, really nice visuals :D
Thank you! You need 40 coins to open the chests and every defeated enemy drops 10 coins (sometimes you have to jump to get the coins). The enemies ended up being a bit difficult to defeat, because we messed up the balancing unfortunately ... running and shooting help sometimes lol

Really pretty game! I'm loving the visuals, I did also have the issue of not being able to pick up gold though, tried using F to interact but it didn't seem to do anything..

Regarding the gold: You just need to touch the gold to collect it, I guess it was hovering in the air? If so, the hitbox was probably too small to detect the gold coin, jumping into it should work. :)
I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong - I can't seem to pick up gold (you interact, right?) nor kill enemies. I admittedly suck at controlling this character.
The game is super visually interesting for a 2-day game. I think you picked a really solid art style to make it work in the time you had.
I think it would be easier for me to play this game if you zoomed in the camera a bit (so you can better tell what's going on) and used some more visuals (and audio) for feedback.

We sadly didn't had time for a thorough play testing, so the balancing is sadly off, sorry for that!
Regarding the gold: Sometimes the game drops to high for the hitbox to detect it. Jumping into it should work, it should be collected automatically on contact :)
