Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes
Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes
Summarise your game!
It's pretty straightforward. It's basically the classic game whack a mole but in 3rd person. You have to walk up to the moles and bonk them on the head. Until... the moles start to fight back. And for that, you can attack and dodge both of which gives invincibility frame for the duration of the animation.
W, A, S, D to move
Left click to attack
Scroll mouse wheel downwards to dodge
Space to jump (you don't need it)
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
Well you are the weapon since you play as the hammer in a giant whack a mole game! Story wise, you also are the summon of a magical tree. You are... HammerBranch!
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
The beauty and the cozy vibe :)

Game is fun, but I hope that you find a way to get it to webgl or it won't be judged.
The GDD feels very light, I would suggest adding some more detail into the sections and perhaps some formatting to make it more visually appealing.
Very fun little whack a mole game, I like it, artstyle and music were nice, I hope you can manage to repackage it to run in the browser for the game jams rules, good luck!
Thank you!
Hey, your submission has been detected to be in violation of the rule "Your submission must run in the browser". Please ensure that you provide a playable browser version by the end of the jam or your game may not be judged. More info
It's made in Unreal Engine 5.5 which does not support web packaging. The only solutions to salvage the project would be either paying for pixel streaming which is quite expensive or rebuilding in Unreal Engine 4.23 which would make me lose a lot of features and have me rebuild the whole game...
So yeah... Game has been made and submitted. In the most respectful way, it's now up to you guys if you want to rule it out or not. Thank you for the warning though it's really appreciated! (I also am aware that the rule is in place because of people submitting malware... damn goblins we'll never get rid of them)
As you mentioned, the rule is in place to prevent malware so we will unfortunately not be able to play your game or consider it for winning the jam. If time permits during the judging period, however, we may be able to review your GDD.
Fair enough. Well then there is no point reviewing the GDD. And just for your information; that rule may be getting rid of malware, but it's also ruling out Unreal Engine 5 projects as collateral damage. That may not be the best solution.
We are aware of this, thanks
Try it!! I even converted my Pygame-build game successfully to a browser-friendly type, You can use Google, Discord and so on to help you!
Ask for help on the discord server might there be people that can help you with this.
my brother, you know that your game NEEDS to run on a website? or it won't be Judged, it's on the rules
Yes I know I've read the rules...
The only ways I can achieve that is by either rebuilding the whole game in an old and outdated version of unreal engine 4 that had html5 packaging support or via pixel streaming platforms that are all charging pretty expensive subscriptions and also charging people's playtime...
It's been almost two days of struggling trying to package the game. Even had quite some issues just packaging for windows...
I'll try migrating it to that old version of unreal that can package to web but some people online said it's a nightmare to do...
Here are the supported packaging options from Unreal Engine...
They won't play it unless it is in browser and you have 9 days I would give it a go
