Roomba Rebellion is a top-down strategy game based on “cleaning the dirt in the map” while managing resources and maintaining stealthiness.
Keyboard: W-A-S-D keys
Interact / Eliminate: “E” key
Pause: "ESC" key
Clean:
To maintain a low profile, the player will clean the dirt and dust in the map, by simply passing on top of it.
This will also be necessary to not fail the level, inactivity will be punished!
Eliminate:
Your main goal: Getting rid of the NPCs. Get close to your target and by pressing “E” multiple times you will successfully eliminate an NPC.
Goal:
Get the map clean of NPCs to complete the level.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
The idea resolves in the fact that, thinking of a typical work area / housing space / crowded place scenario, roombas are more common than not, and their 1-job nature was a good candidate to work with, giving it the power to eliminate the users in said scenario. That's why the player gets to play as the roomba, allowing them to be the weapon in a context where there should be nothing to be afraid of, or nothing to be alert about.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
How entertaining is it? Or thoughts on the process of "cleaning" the enemy?

I really liked the concept—it’s super fun! The mechanics are simple and easy to understand. I really enjoyed how the charging and cleaning mechanics combine to add more complexity. Great job!

Very good prototype with a simple gameplay loop that is easy to learn! The rules could use some clarification, for example: When are the NPCs going to detect blood? Stealth games often have a visible indication of the enemies range of sight (as TheWorldsCutestGamer already mentioned). That would be a very helpful feature. Personally I would also add a little more time to battery life and faster charge speed, since waiting for battery charging wasn't a really engaging or fun part of the game. Still all in all fun to play and challenging level design.

Cute game! Bold choice to pilot the roomba with tank controls but I respect it. Was very fun mechanically, and the level design stayed interesting and fresh. Wish the charging was a bit faster, and maybe that the area that you clean around you was a bit larger. Also giving some sort of sightlines indicator to understand how the NPCs are looking at would be fantastic.
