Have you checked that your GDD is publicly accessible ?
Yes
Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes
Summarise your game!
retro 2d platformer inspired by old mario games. The diference is you play as a gun.
You dont jump over evemies you shot them. And if you shoot in the air you can impulse yourself.
This is supposed to be first level. I was going to add more levels but ran out of time.
I also feel like the shooting mechanic wasnt fully realized in this level and i wish i could have done more with it.
I've never done a platformer before so i learned a lot building this.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
you play as a gun
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
if you could give me feedback on game design to make better games in general that would be really cool.

Okay, this was crazy haha (in a good way). At the very start, I thought the character was really cute - I got reminded of Rayman. The level was really well designed, you were introducing mechanics one by one and had a small tutorial at the start - which is great! And then started the wild stuff, like shooting out of cannons, flying on birds, etc. I did have a bit of a glitch of floating around after the cannon fired but when I hit the ground again it was fine. I thought I was going to get a score of 0 by the end of the game but fortunately there were some points I could get by the end so I ended with a non-zero score 🤣it was a bit too difficult jumping on those birds though, but I pushed through. Great game!! Really funny and nice progression!
Tank you for playing im glad you had a good time. Yep, those birds are really challenging. I think i went a bit too far in that section of the game!
played until the flying chicken platforming and couldn't get further. generally i like the idea and it's an interesting mechanic! sometimes, while standing very securely on a platform, the player character will still be slowly slipping off of it, and when landing sometimes it'll do an extra jump, which are things that make controlling the character and platforming quite difficult. i really likes the target blocks, and now i don't know if these are used more after the point i couldn't pass, but i could imagine that be a fun interaction to extend into doing trick shots in the air or using the trajectory of the bullets to pass barriers :]
Thanks for playing, and feedback is appreciated :D.
