your assumption of the slow fall being intended for other puzzles is correct! I do also get a bit frustrated w it while playing, and the entire moveset is definitelynot as polished as I would've liked - the consequencesof gamejamming i guess haha - but amazing feedback I'm bringing w me for future projects!!
The interplay between the sword and girl forms r also something I might wanna reimagine - I'll definitely take your suggestion into account :] The shrine idea is very interesting.

omg i love the energy of this!! a karen is indeed the ultimate weapon! to get the more frantic feel you're looking for you could include something like fighting over the groceries - this is actually would i thought would happen! getting to the stuff before the other custormers and having to push them out of the way! art style is super lovely and very fitting to the game itself :]
played until the flying chicken platforming and couldn't get further. generally i like the idea and it's an interesting mechanic! sometimes, while standing very securely on a platform, the player character will still be slowly slipping off of it, and when landing sometimes it'll do an extra jump, which are things that make controlling the character and platforming quite difficult. i really likes the target blocks, and now i don't know if these are used more after the point i couldn't pass, but i could imagine that be a fun interaction to extend into doing trick shots in the air or using the trajectory of the bullets to pass barriers :]
played for a while and i can imagine this is the type of game you can get really good at! the feel was good, however in the beginning i didn't realize you could control the direction of the rocket with the mouse! i also only realize reading the controls that the checkered boards are for speed boosting - maybe some arrows or something else would convey that better? for me, the camera moving was a little disorienting, but i like the idea of it a lot. overall nice and funny game, very enjoyable :]
