This was a fun little game, I thought the environment was really nice - I got immersed into the world of cowboys immediately. The art for your hand pistol was great, and so were the sound effects! And I'm glad you didn't have to reload so I could just fire non-stop. I did lose once, and I thought the message about your imagination was interesting - made me think - is what's happening inside this game a dream? 😂You've made a great base of a game, I think you've done an awesome job here!! Well done

Excellent game, it already feels like a finished game. I don't know how to provide feedback for this 🤣 Even on my PC which I played this, I usually have frame rate drops in other jam games but yours is incredibly smooth - so I just wanted to compliment that. I got a few top scores in the early levels so I'm happy about that but I'm sure they'll be overtaken eventually 😂😂Art and music were incredible and fit well together, even the story in the beginning was put together very well. I enjoyed this game very much!
I had a blast reading all the memes and funny dialogue - although I had to replay a few times to see more of the dialogue (I ran out of compute credits in some rounds so had to make the choices I didn't want to). You implemented the transition shader very well, I thought that was a very nice touch to the game. I wasn't sure what to expect but the writing in this was really good - I had a lot of fun with this one so thank you for making it!
The idea is really neat, and so is the art - the enemies are so cool too, even though they look a little scary. I liked that the sound effect kept playing when I did a headshot which helped me know I was doing something right. The level design is superb, you introduced the mechanics one by one, and progression was very smooth. However, I did have a problem with the lava shader (I think you used a similar shader for the cultist boss fight), it would cause glitches on the screen and I had to avoid looking at those. I didn't run out of fingers often, and that felt nice because it didn't limit how I was playing the game (which was poorly 😂). I think the wall run mechanic that you added to the game was really cool - really felt like an extra bit of fun with the game. Superb game, and I was happy to see that you were using billboards for the enemy sprites (I'm a huge fan of 2.5D stuff, so this was especially fun for me) 😁
This game is so whacky 🤣🤣 I thought all the duck animations were funny, when they spawned and when they got hit. The sound effects also, it sounded so varied and I felt bad for hitting the ducks. I don't know why the player kept morphing or change themselves into different attack modes but that was funny to see. And, I wasn't sure what was going on when the whole grassy area turned into a purple blaze 😂 there was so much happening in this game, that it was a joy to see them all! I thought the art was spectacular - very stylized. Well done!!
Wow. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I think adding combos to play music and do special effects was super cool!! And the build up of music as you play the game, more instruments and sounds were added felt like you were making progress. I enjoyed this entry a lot, it's a bit chaotic but it definitely works - also, besides the music, I think you did a really nice job with the art and palette too. It really gave this game its own style alongside the music. Awesome entry!
I thought the art style was really cool, and then when the head throwing happened 🤣 I laughed. I was not expecting that at all!! When I got to the end, I was panicking so I ran to side quickly and the game finished - I played again because I wanted to see what the enemy mechanics were. But this time I saw the enemy archer kill the other archer 🤣🤣 so I played yet again to confirm it. I didn't expect friendly fire in this game. I also wanted to see what the axe dude at the last section was doing, but just standing next to me - he was attacking downwards but not hitting me (just thought I'd mention that). And for the artist, if you like elemental pixel art, Wizard of Legend (video game) has a lot of cool elements in pixel art which could inspire you. I could see that style be put into a game like this. Awesome submission! I had fun with this one
I was a bit confused at first why we couldn't control the pie character but then I realized you hit the theme with this one 🤣 It was a lot of fun following the pie going on an adventure to slay goblins, even though you were all the different weapons. I liked that you could use ranged weapons too but they were a bit difficult to use in battle, so I kept using the sword. I enjoyed the aesthetic of this game very much, really feels like something I would have played as a kid - thank you for making this 😁
The art is very charming, and I like the whistles - they sound very retro. This actually feels like a bullet hell 🤣and I had fun getting hit and being bounced around in the arena. The sliding on the ice felt really good to play on. And the sprite changes for the porcupine were very fitting. I don't think your approach was a bullet hell, but I could see this being even more fun with a lot of particles flying around and you need to evade while being on ice. Great game!
It took me a while to solve the puzzles - and I was slowly losing balls 🤣but mechanic wise, superb - it's not easy to make something like this. You definitely put in a lot of time and effort into this, so I wanted to make sure not to give up and kept trying to progress. I would like that your second weapon doesn't consume balls if possible, and if the balls would reattach themselves to the main body if they were close would be really good - at the lower levels, I kept having to fetch the balls over and over when I was trying to hit the fan. I think you made a great game with an awesome mechanic - the puzzles were good too, but I think a bit more hints on how to solve them would be great! Well done!!
I thought this game was hilarious, the animations for the sniper were so funny - getting into position and running around really felt like he was the world's worst sniper 🤣 but you nailed the theme, cos the player was controlling the bullets. I think the curving and changing the speed of the bullets was really neat, but I wasn't sure how to proc the richochet - it was really cool whenever it did proc though! The music added to the overall feeling of the game very well, and I enjoyed this entry!! Well done.
Okay, this was crazy haha (in a good way). At the very start, I thought the character was really cute - I got reminded of Rayman. The level was really well designed, you were introducing mechanics one by one and had a small tutorial at the start - which is great! And then started the wild stuff, like shooting out of cannons, flying on birds, etc. I did have a bit of a glitch of floating around after the cannon fired but when I hit the ground again it was fine. I thought I was going to get a score of 0 by the end of the game but fortunately there were some points I could get by the end so I ended with a non-zero score 🤣it was a bit too difficult jumping on those birds though, but I pushed through. Great game!! Really funny and nice progression!
I would've liked to see Hoshi in third person 🤣 zombies spawned behind me on my last run and got me. I think the style meter was a really cool thing you added that made this experience unique. I would have liked a melee option, so you can punch the zombies to get out of the way when you run out of ammo or need to reload. And more lighting in the area would've been great. But the zombie models and animations were awesome! Felt really good like I was fighting off zombies for real. Pleasant experience, well done!!
I missed a lot of beats (I'm not good at rhythm games 🤣) but I think I got to the end with 40k points. The color palette is really bright and gets your attention right away. I like that the monster kept evolving bigger as you progressed through the game. I think the spacing between beats was really nice for a jam game, so it wasn't too difficult for me, but I think putting some notes closer together would definitely add to the difficulty. I think perhaps different stages with more variety in music would enhance the experience also. But overall, this is an incredible base for a rhythm game that you've made in two weeks!! Awesome job
I lost a few times but kept trying (with cool names each time by the way!🤣). I ended up figuring it out and got through to some levels! It does take a while to understand, but I tried to do it simply in the beginning which started to make the game make sense - perhaps you can slowly introduce parts instead of all at once - I think that can help the player learn step-by-step on how to progress. That aside, I think the art and ui were incredible!! I especially enjoyed the UI animations. The little bit of story, and how they were fighting in-between stages were cool too. Honestly, great game - you did amazing with this entry
I really enjoy mecha games like this, although it took me a while to find the deploy button on the first map 🤣I think the ship deploying you and extracting you was awesome!! Even when I was being extracted, the enemies somehow jumped on board and went up with the ship too. The aesthetic was awesome, really enjoy those retro vibes. However, I was having some bad fps when the mining extractor started showing its particles (and the lag stayed with the enemies too), I'm not sure what was up and I didn't see others have this problem - I just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else has this issue so you can fix it for your future games! But overall, awesome game!!
I wonder if you know those adventure quest games, I got those good vibes playing this game. The mix-and-match mechanics of the swords was a superb idea, it was very fun getting to collect all the parts and discover new weapons. I did have one issue with the shop being unable to sell parts at one point, which seemed to fix itself when I came back to the shop later. I would like a more detailed description (in-game) of what each attribute does. I think quests board should have an easier list to view (and perhaps the base reward offered) so we can select quests better - it's a bit tedious to open each one and guess which is the best quest to take. The chest animation at the end of battle was nice, although I think the drop reward should show up just after the animation plays (a bit more immersive that way). My favorite animation in the game was probably the lantern 😁. For the sword animations, watching them rotate and scale was a nice touch - I'm impressed you could do that with engineless without hurting the details of the pixels. My mouse used to play the game has a back button, and I accidentally hit it - and that took me away from the game page 🤣but fortunately the game saves the progress. There were a few loading issues where the game screen was black with the music playing, had to refresh a couple times for it to load. But anyway, I had a lot of fun and this was an awesome take on the theme! I wrote a lot of feedback, hopefully it will be useful to you for your future games!!
Can't wait to see what you'll make next, well done!!
UPDATED 🤣 I played this during the jam before submissions and I came back to play it again - and it has so much more content!! I was surprised with the number of voice lines, you did excellent with those. I also did some clicking to fast-forward through the lines, and it performs just like a real game would do - it cuts the audio correctly and plays the next line without any problems. If I were to suggest a little improvement to this game, I think some environment ambience would have been nice... Perhaps some birds flying by and landing on it! I enjoyed this entry a lot
I'm unfamiliar with twin stick games, so this is new to me - so hopefully you'll get some nice perspective from a player who is new to this type of game. I didn't know what the game was about, so I read the description to learn a bit more when playing - an in-game tutorial would help a lot! I was able to play two colors at the same time, and I think the purpose was to use up all your bullets while simultaneously dodging other color bullets - I don't know the win condition though, so if there were scores or a round timer that would be nice feedback to the player so they know if they are making progress or not. Overall, I think this was a good attempt with just 8 hours! Well done!!
