  • Liked this game a lot, i would love to see your concept here fleshed out more. upgrades and more items would be excellent starts. maybe make it round based and give the player a shop with random items each round? sort of like a vampire survivors esk progression with bigger and badder enemies and more abilities. I did think i wasnt picking up items till i accidentally threw a grenade, so maybe some sort of audio queue that im picking it up rather then it fading away.

I *really* like this game. I actually stopped playing it just to say this, and then I'm gonna go back and start playing again. The general concept is just so simple while so clever at the same time. Creative games like this is the reason I love indie games. I DLed the dev doc and noticed Celeste immediately- one of my favorite games in the past 10 for sure. You can see the influence too. The audio is great, the art is great. Super fun. Gonna stop commenting so I can play more :)

Edit: also, the art thumbnail is great. I decided to play the game based on that.
Discovered you can shoot infected blocks too. Love the detail in the mechanics and how well they were implemented! I think you did a stellar job managing your time and expectations for this jam to deliver something fun and polished. Bravo!

This is a really fun game, reminds me of Metroid + Bullet hell 

  • Great graphics
  • Great audio, music loop is very calming
  • Gameplay, platforming is very nice  and smooth,  wall jump is a bonus

Improve ops

  • Item indicator when pickup  (Sounds, flash of light, text, anything) 
  • Pause menu that shows what items do (Show the ones that they have already seen)


I want bigger levels more enemies, jetpack

This is a very fun game, 100% recommend a play

  • I liked the low bit pixel art style.
  • the usage of color in this game is phenomenal.
  • the player feels very good to control.
  • wish the game was harder and faster. The game starts out too slow and takes way too long to get to a fun difficulty level, but once it does it feels really fun to play.
  • I didn't like the music choice. It's not that the music is bad, it's that the music doesn't complement the gameplay a faster more energetic track will make the game fell much more existing to play.
  • The spawn point of the new blocks always felt perfect, I wonder how you got it to feel so good.
  • the enemies are not very satisfying to kill. I think a better kill animation or SFX will make it more fun to kill the enemies.

Really liked the game. I think with some tweaking and more items this would be a game I'd buy on steam. It's a crime more people haven't played your game.

Thanks so much for playing and for the feedback. I probably won't work on it after the game jam since its my first game in a new engine, but if ever do, I'll keep your advice in mind. Also, I played your ant hill game, and I think its a very nice concept!

Love your game, the artistic style reminds me of games like Risk of Rain or Dome Keeper. I managed to achieve 8400 points on the first try. Great Game, keep doing what you do :)
