- Super cool game! The aesthetics are great and the gameplay is super fun and addicting. The only small problem I run into is that the physics are a little exaggerated making it hard to efficiently move around at times.

There are 20 levels with waves of various enemies and challenges that increase in difficulty.
The player has the option to play a condensed version of the game.
Rush Mode is recommended for the play testers / judges as it is crafted to fit in a 5-10 minute play session.
Players will need to fight off enemy ships, repair damage from the hull, mop away the spreading corruption, and on top of that fight the onset of scurvy by consuming vitamin rich fruits.

Extra Notes
The team met for the first time in Pirate Software Discord at the start of the Game Jam. It's been a fun experience and we have all learned a lot.

Very Ambitious game for game jam, feels like the it has everything but needs more time to be polished up,
LOVE this game! In the amount of time that your team has taken to create this amazing fun filled game is wild. Keep up the good work and looking forward to more work to come you guys!
If you stream this game, please can you post the link to it, would love to see! โค
I like the low poly art and the music is tense. Very hectic and difficult. Games got some charm for sure. Launching myself off boxes as I was running and jumping was fun! Great job y'all
FYI We made this game while Livestreaming on YouTube if you wanted to see some of the development process
๐This is a lot of fun! Very hectic in a good way!
Glad you like it! thanks ๐ yeah we originally planned quite a few more features but due to team availability we had to make some cuts (on average each team member was only available for a week of the jam during evenings).
Cut plans were: boss fight, a store that allows you to buy better cannon balls, lemons instead of oranges for better scurvy prevention, a more absorbent mop, stronger planks, more plank crates, more cannon crates, goo damages the players, multiplayer.
Either way though it was a lot of fun and we all made new friends in the process. I hope more people get a chance to check out the game and enjoy it. I can us (or at least myself ๐ ) continuing to work on this project and making it into a fun little indie game with more features. Each member of the team put in a lot of effort and covered gaps in skillsets to make this happen!
Congrats on getting it done! The game is actually quite functional and fun although quite difficult!!
If we'll ever finish it, it should be more manageable, mainly thanks to the upgrade shop, that we intended to include, but sadly had to cut from the Game Jam build.
Anyways I am really glad that you have enjoyed our game :D
Ooo! I used game jam streams as background entertainment while I worked on my entry and I saw some of this (or one very very similar ๐ฌ
Very polished, looks amazing for a 2-week game. Frantic gameplay, satisfying mechanics. I love it.
I love it, this is really really cool. Nice way to incorporate the spreading mechanic, and the game is a real challenge.
Thank you man, I love reading the feedback; getting peoples thoughts on the game. ๐
We mak gaem
This has been a fun experience! I'm proud of how much we were able to get going with our limited schedules. Features that we weren't able to get to for the submission would have really fleshed out the game.
It was awesome to have our entire team meet for the first time on day 1 and get a project submitted! ๐
Enjoy our little game! The team had a lot of obligations during the 2 weeks and so we had to cut a lot of features, but nonetheless it should be a fun experience! Looking forward to the next one ๐ Hopefully next time we are not so busy during the jam so we can really commit some time to it! โฅ Met these guys from the game jam and made some new friends, will be joining the next jam for sure!
