  • Pretty cool vertical slice, definitely expand on what you've got here. The theme isn't really implimented in any noticable way to me. I really like the visual style, gameplay is somewhat clunky though.

Twilight Salamander Bay is a fantasy survival game about defending a small island against hordes of sea monsters. To do so, the player can use a sword and cast spells with the magic wand.

Extra Notes
Basic mechanics: the player has to survive rounds against the sea-monsters through the nights and if they is able to survive the night they can enter the safe area. In this area they get one only choice to upgrade either the sword or the wand. The sword is a short-range weapon that is faster to use and deals higher damage. The wand is long-range and takes longer to cast spells. The player must choose which weapon is the best for them.

Following pixelfireplace's comment, I also didnt realize passive mode was active too. But the music was enjoyable and the seafolk surprising me from every angle was also easily getting out of hand haha. I enjoyed the 2 levels i ran but the sword range seems a little ambiguous (so i spammed until i died in round 2). The island and music was definitely charming too!

at first i thought my attacks didnt work, but they were disabled until the battle mode started. the world is pretty cool and i like the island layout. when the battle started, i couldnt tell if my sword was hitting, so i just spammed wand, not sure if that was smart, but i died soon after hehe

First, it was like ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธโœจ, and then ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿšช๐Ÿ˜ˆ, then ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ‘น๐Ÿ’€. And I died all of a sudden.
