This neat, I had a similar idea early on but could not think of a way to put it all together. You have done it great.

The number keys to switch potions was a tad tricky for some of the levels that needed faster switching. Maybe a mouse wheel to cycle through?

Otherwise, awesome job!

I love the art in this, nice and crisp.

It did take me a few goes to work out how to brew things, but once I found the brew stands it was very fun.

Good Job!

This is a tough but fun game.

I love the intractable tutorial you did, that is a very neat way to teach the controls and mechanics.

Good Job!

This was fun.
I really liked the snappy music and menus. Gives off a real fast-paced stick shooter vibe.

Then in comparison, the default walk speed seemed really slow and unable to keep up with the music. After finding the speed increase item I more understand, but maybe a slight bump to the default speed might help the initial pacing / feel.

Overall very cool. I like the no explanation and work it out for yourself style.

This was fun.
I like the main menu screen where the eye follows the mouse.
Not sure if this is intended but I worked out pretty quickly you can stall on the card select screen to regen to full health before the next wave

"Proof" That all levels and secrets are achievable.

Yeah I think an onscreen prompt to remind of the restart level button (delete) is needed.

Hoping I have time to add it!

Edit:
I quickly put the controls on screen and added a restart level button on the pause menu.
Hopefully thats enough to reduce confusion.

This is an awesome effort for your first crack at game dev.

While what you have is not a finished game, what is there is good and not janky at all.

Well Done! Keep it up!

This is neat.

I love the comic strip intro and the 2 different views of the battlefield.

I had a couple of ingredients get stuck on the right side of the pot for a while, but they eventually fell in.

Good Job!

I really liked this game, simple on the surface but I can see the potential with the mortar.
Personally, I like the no instructions and discovering what the ingredients did by trail and error.

I like the physics of the objects too, Once I dropped the onion into the mortar, covered it in eyes and managed to get the onion spinning at great speed :D I couldn't reproduce it quick as good a second time though

Very good, I liked the music and I think it fit the atmosphere well, you shouldn't be hard on yourself about that!

Reminded me of the typing games we played at school many a moon ago.

Good job

Very cool, just like other comments, the jump controls a bit loose, sounds like you have already fixed it though. Good Job!

Great job on the atmosphere and music, I was getting jittery and looking behind me waiting for the jump scare.

I liked pressing E to drink and stepping back as far as I could to watch the floating cup :)

Ahhh so fun and annoying at the same time. I would get almost to the end of a level and then press the thing I was not supposed to :)
I did notice a couple of auto tile issues but thats nothign major.
I really like the trail following the player it was subtle but looked great.

Thanks!
I find it's often the simple concepts that are fun. :)

Thanks!
I would loved to have added some more random interactions and dialogue but time was fleeting

Thanks!

What is likely happening is the towns people swearing a lot, filling their jars, trekking to the altar and donating it on your behalf.

Magic juice is then filled remotely so you don't have to return all the time, as that was repetitive in my play through.

Once you have saved about 2/3 of the town, it fills pretty constantly. Tweaking and balancing needed :)

I actually found very late that  the release export would not work so I just opted to upload a debug build for the sake of getting a working build submitted. Also that the web export had issues as well, price I pay for using 4 RC1

The (un)curse is me saying double click in Latin. (According to google translate)

The curse is that, played backwards  :P

Ha turns out I am an idiot, thanks!
Nice quick fun I like it.

Very satisfying splat sound.

Nice I like how you get the action fast. Fun little game.

I'm guessing it's just me, but whenever I load this game he just walks to the right into a fire, and the controls dont work?

Am I missing something?

Totally agree, on the dialogue skipping / speed. Both were the last 2 features I forced myself to drop (and the options menu completely) before I had to submit.
