Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.

  • collision is iffy, the controls are rough, and the themes are used in name only
  • I think the controls need to be tuned up a bit. The level was pretty hard. However, I liked the music, the art direction, and the level design. To improve, I'd make the areas a lot less confined, or tune up the controls, and make the obstacles a bit easier to bypass.

I love this game, it's very neat! Even though I struggled to get past the level, mainly when I kept falling into the hole and the monster ate me, I still loved it. I just wish that I knew about how to slow down my lantern earlier, could have saved me so much time to get past the level. I noticed that there were thunder symbols above the lantern, telling me how many lives I have. I love that feature personally, because it makes me strategize my every move while slowing down every time I encounter a hole or the symbols that lie on the level. I love the artwork of this game too, it has some spooky background in which the shadow and alchemy aspects of the game were really well-implemented and it tied in with the jam's theme beautifully. I hope there are more levels than just that one level I couldn't past because me beating it would have felt very rewarding for sure. Just an overall, tremendous job in making this all-around small game here!

Wow these mechanics are very creative, I haven't seen anyone else here do something like this. It's very chaotic and fun, I love it. It's hard to get good at, mostly because I couldn't tell what was a hole and what was a wall at full speed. Other than that it's a super cool game!

Thank you very much for the feedback!
At this point we are aware of the background being to similar with the pits (delimiting color and interior color) and will be fixed when the jam voting ends.
Once more, thanks for the feedback and the kindness.

Really cool! I am very bad at this but its very fun! One thing, its hard to tell what is a hole I can fall in and what is the edge of the map.

My time was 3:09:87, beat that!

This game has no right to be this fun. The design and controls and intensity of the music and welcomingness of the art just make me feel like: I am bad at this and I like it and it's fine if I fall in a hole a lot, I will do better next run.

Every element comes together so well, congrats to the team!
