- SUPER great job on this game! The way the character learns moves is really satisfying and makes you want to keep going. The sound design, effects and animations are just spot on. Good theme interpretation. Extremely playable, clever and the art style of this world is 10/10. Great job! Thanks for participating.

The movement feels so clean! I love the way that each element of the movement mechanics gets added in and builds on the other pieces, and I feel like I can be really creative with which tools I use. It gives it a playground/sandbox feel!
The walljump felt a little awkward and sticky compared to the other movement options, I think because you have to be holding into the wall when you jump? In particular, the air dash and the bounce feel great. The flutter jump - I see you yoshi enjoyers.
The lighting in the sewer level was awesome. Looked cool, communicated the location of platforms (even before they're on screen!), made for a really fun and evocative level!
The use of the traffic lights as grapple points was so cute and immediately fully readable. Worked great and a really fun section to close out the game.
Overall really well done. The outro to that first level with the water shooting out and the encounter with the raccoon were super cute.
Such a detailed review! Thanks so much!! We're happy that you appreciated the minor details we paid attention to during development, and more importantly, we're happy that you found our game fun!
What a cute little guy, and what a fun little game. Really nailed the retro asthetic. Alas I didn't complete it yet because it's pretty tricky at times (!) but really enjoyed what I played - gameplay reminds me of Guacamelee! which I love also.
I really really enjoyed this game! Art direction and lighting is top notch. The only two pieces of "critique" I have is, there is a bug where if you respawn after you die, sometimes you keep moving after death and fall again. Also it needs coyote frames :D. Otherwise really fun and addicting.
I think the lighting in this so damn cool! Well done!
Cool little game, I love how the lighting looks in the sewer level especially. I think the game could definitely do with more audio and music, though I saw in your GDD that you didn't have time which is totally fair.
Appreciate the feedback! We're so happy you liked the lighting on the sewer level! My specialised area is audio as well, so it was pretty upsetting I couldn't work it into the prototype on time. We wanted to prioritise the animation and overall visual charm of our main character, which required me to help with the animations mainly!
