- After all the cut scenes nothing worked. I couldn't go through the portals nor could I summon abstracts. I was unsure what to do to progress as I couldn't leave the room. Seems like it might be an interesting game and story, but there really wasn't anything there beyond the cut scenes. I will say that the cut scenes were really well done and it was a good start to an RPG.

3D JRPG set in a post-apocalyptic world in which billions of humans suddenly vanished. It was due to the arrival of strange entities called Daimons and Abstracts. These entities have tormented the unlucky survivors. One individual has a dream to rebuild the mythical land of America into a new land that would protect humanity at all costs.
The combat is composed of phases, in which certain types of actions can be used. Each team gains 1 action a turn, but maybe able to gain more if they managed to succeed in completing their tactics, a "quest" in battle that is set up by the players and enemies alike in their goal of controlling the combat pace.

Extra Notes
I really enjoyed making this game and participating in this game jam. I wished that I managed to finished many parts that I had to scrap in order to ship, what turned out to be a rough prototype. Making all the systems for a 3D game and JRPG as well as all the models and animations for the characters was a chore. I'm never being this ambitious for a game jam again. But with that said, I would have done it all over again and again.
I really liked what I made, and I feel that I have grown as a developer. I might continue working on this project after the deadline, and maybe ship it on steam.
I hope you enjoy it :)

The cinematics are top tier. The gameplay lags really hard and the systems are confusing. Honestly would have loved a visual novel kind of thing in the same setting and without you trying to do badly optimized open spaces.
The lag caught me by surprise since I did similar size maps for another project I uploaded on here. And I tested it before I uploaded. I think I uploaded a version in which the terrain was duplicated, which would mess up the ai on the map 😓. I will probably upload an exe version of this project with the fixes once the jam ends. The desktop version is just superior in graphics, performance, and would include a tutorial and give the best player experience. Anyways, I'm happy you played it and enjoyed the cinematics it was my favorite part to work on :)
