The lag caught me by surprise since I did similar size maps for another project I uploaded on here. And I tested it before I uploaded. I think I uploaded a version in which the terrain was duplicated, which would mess up the ai on the map 😓. I will probably upload an exe version of this project with the fixes once the jam ends. The desktop version is just superior in graphics, performance, and would include a tutorial and give the best player experience. Anyways, I'm happy you played it and enjoyed the cinematics it was my favorite part to work on :)

I indeed was shooting for a Battlefront 2 style game and in fact I was planning on doing a more in-depth version of Galatic Conquest that aimed to be highly replayable with multiple ways to win, alike a 4X game or strategy game. But I scrapped that idea when I realized that I wouldn't have enough maps to make it feel fun and I needed to focus on other mechanics. As for the shooting, I aimed for something non-traditional and tried to create some sort of old school Armored Core style of shooting, but I think I might resort to traditional 3rd person shooting if I ever cameback to this game.

Thank you soo much for playing! Yeah, I wished that I got to add a lot a things like secondary abilites and make the two sides more distinct. Like the officer was supposed to command a legion of mini-units and their was supposed to be a "spider" class that could have grappled around, but I didn't have time to implement these features so I had to scrap them. Maybe, in the future I might comeback and implement these things.

As for the capture point, you make an excellent point. I should have made the bar go left-to-right to show the capturing, as that can be a source of confusion. Also, there is a bug I didn't fix before releasing in which your allies can add capture time sometimes instead of speeding it up. Anyways, thanks for playing my game :)

Thank you soo much for hosting this jam. I really had a fun time working on the game. As for the exe version, I noticed that issue a day after I submitted and then pushed a fix for it. Anyways, thank you soo much for playing my game :)

Thank you for playing! And I really sorry that you encountered that issue. On my rush to release the game before the end of the jam I may have done some changes in the last few minutes that may have caused that issue.

But, I plan on making a big update to the game in the coming few days. I will notify you when it is ready.

I see. Will fix that issue as soon as I can. In regards to rules around updates, I am not really sure. But I will probably have two versions: an updated version and the version that was made during the game jam.
