- This game was a lot of fun once I stopped being dumb and figured out the mechanics. Really enjoyed figuring out the puzzles. The atmosphere and everything else was really quite well done. To do better, would be nice to do a bit more handholding for the first puzzle. I know there were tutorial marks on the screen, but I overlooked them because they kind of blended in.

Esc to pause.
Extra Notes
Level 19 has an issue. You spawn with the scroll already open, if you hold the movement keys for some time you can move around.
Move until you can see the scroll on the ground, click on it and then you can close it normaly with the space key. sorry for the bug

awesome puzzles, i dont have the brainpower for them, but you pulled the theme off very well! music is missing tho :(
Thank you for playing, glad you enjoyed the puzzles. There exists background music, you can adjust it in the pause menu if the volume is too low
This game found a way to fit both themes so well! Which is so rare since the theme is really hard this jam. I got stuck in the level without the scroll, it was pretty unclear. I also wish there were sfx or music. Otherwise the art was really good and fit your game so well and the gameplay and puzzles was super fun to figure out!
Hi, thank you for the feedback! In the levels without scrolls, there are books on the floor that contain the shadows meant to be cast. In the future we will work on making it clear to the player what to do. If you get stuck and want to check out some other levels you can use the level selector to jump into the next one
As for the music and SFX, they exist. Maybe we need to tune the base volume, and make it louder. But in the pause menu you can adjust it with the sliders
You guys did an Amazing job, the art style is very consistent and visually appealing. The puzzles are fun yet challenging, I think the tutorials for new mechanics could be a tad clear but I am not the best at puzzles so that is a slight nitpick if anything.
you all did a wonderful job!
Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.
Thanks for playing and for the amazing review! Yeah, we will work on the mechanic introductions for sure.
We'll definitely be there.
The game is cozy and really pretty. I love the art style and the colors. The puzzles are also fun and challenging. 10/10
Great to hear that you enjoyed the colors, took us two days to settle on a palette hahah. Thank you for playing!
I think I'm too stupid for this game, lol.
Very nice graphics, really cool premise, but I couldn't' get past the third puzzle.
Maybe make the walk speed a bit faster?
Thank you for playing and for the feedback!
Maybe we should work on better tutorials when it comes to the processes to make it easier to understand exactly how they work.
I understand your frustration with the walk speed, we'll tweek it in the future
I loved playing this game! The puzzles are really fun and on theme!
Wish King Jacinto would command me to craft a PS4/PS5 version of this game hahah!
Joking aside, I really enjoyed it and it is great! Thanks to the developer(s)! :)
my top pick so far :D super grateful for all those weird books lying around 😎
