This game has an insane amount of polish!
I adore the PSX style.
The sounds effects and music are well made
and the pacing is fast but not too fast once you get a hold of it.
I would love this game further expanded into a full release, it feels like a very good taste of what is a great game
Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

I love the idea for the game after looking at the description it sounds like a loud of fun, very unfortunately you didn't get to finish  but improving is improving!

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

A more developed  story for these characters/world would be pretty fun.
Thank you for playing!

The call to sacrifice was too strong lol, Thank you for playing!

Thank you so much for the all the feedback!

The art for this game was very well done, the PSX aesthetic works very well and I enjoyed the beginning cut-scene. switch between a building and combat mode is a very interesting concept, having the building be more resource dependent would be nice to make it harder to push back the darkness. Great job the tone of this game works perfectly in the theme given.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

I feel like maybe... just maybe this isn't a real game jam submission

Nice work on making a game, it plays well! Starting the journey of being a Game Dev can seem very difficult but I think that no matter what making something, no matter how rough around the edges, is a great experience.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

Fun game, I enjoyed mixing the potions together to attack the enemies, I was unable to find a refill after running out of all the potions though. the art style is very nice, I like the use of the giant wizard hat.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

This game is very good for your first ever game, Keep going! playing through was fun and the final boss got me with his half way mechanic the first time not gonna lie to yeah. it was a straight forward game and whether you choose to keep working on it or make something completely new I am excited to see it.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

This is a really good start to a game, If you continue to work on this I recommend looking at a game called "20 Minutes Till Dawn". They have a similar structure to this prototype and I feel you could take concepts from that game and put your own twist on them.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

This game moves and plays very well! the art is simple and enjoyable and the puzzles are fun to solve. the only issue I have is that the shadow part of the theme seems to be completely ignored. I think adding a mechanic that maybe adds that would make this game more solid for this jam.
good job overall !

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

your idea for the game is interesting, and even though you may have over scoped this time, if you take the time to complete it after the game jam I would love to see it in a more complete form. also it seems like the GDD link does not lead to anything.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

This game is really fun twist on a stealth puzzle game, I enjoyed creating Ice wall to make shadows for myself. the game play was a bit laggy but browser is to blame for that! All of the art was very well made and the story is while not complete does make me a tad sad.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

Congrats on making your first game, This was simple and everything worked!
I hope to see your continued journey as Game Devs, I know starting out can be daunting but the joy of seeing something you made always tops the fear!
Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

unsure if it is a bug of some sort but I can not get past the point of the boyfriend walking out of the home! would like to come back and play it if this gets fixed.
Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

the visual style in this game is very appealing, give an almost story book look. I had fun just messing around with the objects then accidently turned the lights off! if this was polished and further developed I think the game would be great! this is an impressive proof of concept !

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

This is such a cool idea for a turn based game. I aesthetic is really nice.

I really wish the combine of Alchemy worked seeing the screen made me very excited before reading  that it was currently broken.

web export can be a pain I understand you fully.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

Very interesting game concept, I would love to see this expanded on.
I did enjoy lighting up the floor, it is very mesmerizing!

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

Very cool concept for a game, I could see this going in very many different directions if work is continued. Having some sort of Queue or deck to know what is next up what be fun so that players can kinda plan a few moves ahead.

Hope to see your continued journey as a game dev!

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

I love the idea of this game and it plays rather well. The only issue for me was a lack of checkpoints so on slight mistake would lead to redoing the entire level, which is more of a skill issue on my part but it can be a tad frustrating. I do enjoy having the ability to switch between scrolls and make interesting movement tech for myself!

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

This game is very well made! You guys really went for a hard task, making a survival crafting game, and you did well. all of the Art is well made, the item scale in strength as you get them. and the idea of a world with multiple corrupted altars with different bosses sounds amazing.
the only issue I ran into was mobs not dropping aggro which is a bit difficult especially if you run out of arrow/potions to fight them off, I was in a loop of running in circles against a few mobs.

Great job to all that worked on this project

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

This being your first game ever you did a great job!

i enjoyed switching weapons to get rid of enemies and obstacles, and the movement felt pretty good

I would try and keep a little more Art consistency (I love the main character's sprite).

You guys did amazing

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

I love Tower defense games and I think that with a little polish this game would be excellent.

I found out early that you could stack towers on top of each other which meant I could make a giant death tower stack in the center of the road which made it easy to death the shadows, so stopping stacking would be a nice QoL

The artstyle is very nice and consistent really enjoy the shadows, the big fella with the seven eyes is my favorite.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

I LOVE THE ART STYLE SO MUCH!

Playing through the game was nice and the controls were simple. I enjoy how the crack obstacle was set up early and and then in the next level was used as part of the routing for the shadow creatures, would love to see that type of obstacle for the light creature as well.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

Conceptually this game is a lot of fun, if you haven't looked at "Baba is you" I would give that a look see as while it is a different puzzle game it has similar progression and the same top down view.
if you are interested in continuing this project I would love to see this become more developed.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

Nice job in completing your game it was actually quite fun moving around and making potions, Cheetah potion Gang.
I would say that keeping a consistent art style is important, and when making a platformer you want to avoid Visual Ambiguity so the player knows what they can and can not jump on.
overall though this was a nice proof of concept making potions to make a build for your character so that everyone can have a different approach is a great way to make games replayable!

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

Very fun game, while I might not be the best at puzzles I was able to figure out what was needed of me and complete levels!
I enjoy the  ability to control to characters, it kinda reminded me of the flash game "fire boy and water girl" but with a bit more depth.

Very well made game sorry to hear you were having trouble with getting it to browser, HTML5 can be a pain but atleast it works!

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

Incredible game with a nice difficulty since you are controlling two characters.

the art is very nice reminds a bit of early 3d games and it rocks that aesthetic

this take on a Vampire Survivor-esque gameplay but more active is so much fun and scratches an itch in my brain.

I would love to see more of this good job for your first game jam!

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

A quick little game about making potions for a cute cat, nothing wrong with that!

you did really well and completed your game that is something to be proud of !

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

You guys did an Amazing job, the art style is very consistent and visually appealing. The puzzles are fun yet challenging, I think the tutorials for new mechanics could be a tad clear but I am not the best at puzzles so that is a slight nitpick if anything.

you all did a wonderful job!
Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

For a first game this was impressive, you were able to have not just a complete game but one with a story and two endings.

while it is simple, it clearly follows the theme . If further developed I would love to see more combinations maybe learning more about the great evil through making paper and books or some form of documentation to expand on the story.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

While I am not the most adept gamer when comes to RTS games I can see the vision with this game.

I do think that while clever this does stretch the theme a bit thin.

The amount of effort put into UI and player accessibility and customization is amazing.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

Sorry to hear about losing your artist, however playing the game conceptually it is quite enjoyable.

No need to feel like you didn't do well, life can happen and sometimes stuff gets in the way, but the work you did on the two tutorial levels shows extreme promise I would love to see this type of game fully developed. The building blocks are there for sure though.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

Very existential, This is a very clever way of doing shadows and Alchemy.

The main mechanic is very simple to understand and the complexity added with moving shadows makes the game have more depth, great job.

I did run into an issue with the transmorph skill not blocking damage a few times but over all its a very solid game even if it did make me question my life haha.

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

Extremely Fun puzzle game (And I am awful at puzzle games)!

The pixel art was very enjoyable and cute.

I feel if this was expanded into a large game I would love to see how you would expand on the puzzles!(maybe a plasma form or something Idk LOL)

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.

I think aesthetically  this game does hit the creepy vibe, and with polish it can be quite a fun game!

A few issues I ran into is the audio looping constantly including what I think was the ending in which the voice tells us we are bleeding even while still alive, as well as my character seemed to have locked and was unable to look around which made picking cards very hard.

I like the idea of mix elements to protect yourself on the theater screen, it is a very interesting way of doing the idea of alchemy.

For your first game ever this was Extremely impressive!

Cheers, hope to see you next Game Jam.
