- Thanks for your entry into the game jam! I was not ZZzZZZ while playing this! Such a cute concept and well executed! I enjoy the idea of giving my genetically modified sheep stats like baking a cake! Very power puff girls vibe on that :D Art was very well done and fit the vibe and setting. I do think a polish pass on text would help. It was not easy to read both in and out of full screen mode. Music was sublime and super fitting as well. The alien slumber theme was well done! The controls were smooth and the minigame action worked well. It was challenging but not frustrating! The round to round score and doing better next time was very well executed and made replayability so much more interesting! Overall amazing work and thanks again for being a developer!

Summarise your game!
Try to create the perfect sheep to improve how well humans sleep at night and maybe make them fight less. For what reason? Why sheep? Does it have anything to do with aliens? Well there is only one way to find out.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
For anyone who speaks english as a second language ("Ewe" pronounced 'You' is a word for a female sheep.)
So we made a game where aliens use sheep as a weapon

I think the idea of sheep as an evil alien plot to invade is hilarious. It took me a long time to figure out what the charging mechanic did. At first I thought the charge spinner was triggering because I bumped into other sheep but eventually I realized that it was a separate minigame for building up charges. Then I wasn't clear on what to do with the charges. Some sheep had bars over them that I could increase but some didn't and I wasn't sure why or if it had anything to do with my actions. I also didn't understand how the sheep recipe impacted gameplay, if it did.
Thank you for the feedback :)
Hate to be that guy but to me the game was boring :( I'll explain why but before that want to say that you still delivered a good and playable game with some interesting things that I liked too. I will try to express everything I felt during the game:
1. When starting the game I thought what a nice and interesting UI, great job on that.
2. When I viewed the credits screen I clicked on one author, it opened a new tab but then started the game immediately. Probably just a small bug.
3. The art and music are great but one thing I disliked a lot was the font. Even on full screen it was hard to read. Besides that the dialogs were nice, had a moment of VN feeling and they worked as I would've expect, so thats awesome.
4. Was fun to see the art work and the implementation once you are in the game. The minigame was quite alright but what I think should been done better is to keep "Spinner" at same position and probably just above your sheep player. Otherwise it was very frustrating looking for it on screen, especially when it blends in with everything else.
5. It took me some time to understand what I actually have to do and the whole process was boring - Hit space at the right moment and run to some sheep. Repeat. I didn't understand why the sheep counter is not increase and then saw that sheeps also have "progress bar" that I need to fill in. I almost quit on that moment but decided to see what is going to be a reward. Unfortunately my reward was 1/15 rounds. At this moment I knew I don't want to do it anymore. Maybe its just not the game for me and thats alright.
6. The art at the end of game session was awesome, loved it.
7. Overall I felt like a mix of VN, some mixing combinations and a boring (sorry but thats how I felt) minigame. Maybe the game could improve with more focus on VN & quicker minigames because as a VN game it has some potential and mini games could add a bit more player involvement.
Hope you can use this feedback for some new perspectives and maybe even updates.
Thank you for greatfeedback. I do kind of feel same about the game.
1. The whole first screen was happy accident
2. To be honest we did not expect anyone to even click there, so it was not tested 😄
3. Font was place holder and yes for this game it's really bad
4 and 5 Yep it is just bad. Luckily it is the part, where we could experiment a lot
Thank you for great feedback back.
I think you've got some good ideas here, but getting charges was mostly waiting around for the minigame to popup so I could get a charge. But overall, you did a nice job!
I tried your game! And it seems fun! I liked the gameplay as a sheep a lot - what I didn't get to was the 5/5 genes correct - I got to 3/5 and then it lost me. What I didn't like was, that there was no difficulty spikes. But after around 6 tries it got repetetive. Spam 1 sheep, farm its points whenever possible for sheep 2 and so on.
Maybe add another level of difficulty, other ressources etc. Running away from the farmer was never a problem. What might help is a function to run to get away with stamina etc. so he's actually a threat.
Loved the DNA-mixer part. Added a layer of complexity. Very cool submission after all.
One thing I noticed was, that I coudln't turn the sound for the Music down - it stayed at 100% at all times.
Thanks for playing :) Some of the things are planned for after Jam update :) It definitely needs more content and better explanation :)
