- This was an interesting take on the board clear arcade games I remember when I was younger. The execution was fun and inspired and the music really fit the theme and drive of the game. The easy-to-understand mechanics made jumping into the game fun and quick to progress in. I do wish that my controller worked, but that could have been a hardware issue on my end. Moving on to the Game Design Document, most of what I look for was there, except for the development timeline. The development timeline is important for a few reasons: (1) it gives a check for progression, being able to not when things get done and having a clear view of the steps required for the goal, (2) it gives a sense of dependency/importance as certain items will need to be completed before others (i.e. don’t just put the final day as the finish date for every item), and (3) it shows what extra items can be accomplished if there is time, or what things can be left for the next build if you are running behind. All in all, great work!

Is your game set to public on itch.io so we can see it?
Yes
Summarise your game!
The game is a score-chasing arcade platformer where you play as a sentient mask. You hop from face to face, killing the enemies as you go and collecting cherries for points. Latching onto an enemies face will grant you the power to possess them and reposition.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
You play as a sentient oni mask who kills people by leaping off their face at high speeds. In that sense, you are literally a weapon as you kill all the enemies in the level using your body.

This game is SUPER well done, everything from the art, animations, and the idea itself is one of the most creative I’ve seen in the jam. The little details like screenshake when entering/leaving a possession go a really long way. Amazing stuff, I could see this being a full product with a bit more content (more unique movement for different possessed characters maybe?).
I was a bit surprised when the faster characters showed up, it felt like it took a bit long to introduce them.
Incredibly tight controls, consistently great art style, asks for a quick reaction time, fast game loop, retro vibes. What more could I ask for in a 2 week jam? I could play this for a while.
Extremely strong submission, great job.
Controls felt amazing to use and just the feel playing was smooth, from the sound effects to the animations. The core game loop was also very fun to play through, and I feel as if this game has a lot of potential to add features and mechanics! I wish you the best of luck :)
Fantastic game! From the art, to sounds and music, and controls, everything fits so perfectly together! Having done this in 14 days is a true show of skill!
Super great retro feels, from art to controls. the explosion is tricky but rewarding to master. Really enjoyed it.
