- Very nice idea! I didn't get too far, mainly because the game was quite punishing, which made it frustrating to keep playing. I think it was a combination of one hit kill (while the enemies took 3 hits), plus the fact that it went to a death screen where I had to click on reload to continue each time. My recommendation would be to have either a health bar (I see the balls at the top left, but they don't do much right now) or have a short death animation and then reload at the checkpoint to keep going, and keep the flow moving faster! Sorry for going on the negatives first, but now for the positives! The graphics and sprites are really nice, I enjoyed the work you put into them. The movement is very smooth, and the running and attack animations are on point! (I recommend introducing some coyote time to increase enjoyability). The music is awesome!! Kudos on that! Your GDD is well thought out and properly completed! I hope it helped you to layout and work on the game! I get that there were time constraints, but this game is worth working on even more now that the jam is over! Show me what you can do with this!

Summarise your game!
The core mechanic revolves around the protagonist’s transformation, as demonic weapons fuse with their body, altering movement, attacks, and traversal abilities. Players must acquire and master two primary weapons, using their abilities not just for combat but also to interact with the environment in creative ways.
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
As the player explores the cave they find weapons to use, but they will soon find that these “helpful” weapons are permanently combining with the player's body.

The character animations and controll is on point, almost perfect. The death of the enemies is very satisfying and the music is good(It stops at one point, maybe isn't in loop mode?).
The difficulty is a bit hard. and I think the reset on one single hit is a bit unfair, but I enjoyed the game very much :)
ok, i like the music, i absolutly love the character movement and animation. i like the swordstuff and the gore. i think the enemys are cool BUT one hit and you are death is not cool. especially when you respawn in the first stage. maybe decrease the difficulty curve a little bit.
i think this could be really cool with a little bit more polish, some life mechanic AND if you fix the music, music is not looping correctly, it suddenly stops. AND OF COURSE WTF why is swordfight on "J" ??? nearly quit before finding that one

yeahhhhhh you are supposed to have 5 health and locally it was working but after deploying and testing i realized a bug made you imeditatly go to the death screen even tho you arent dead and the respawn button for some reason doesnt load your save. thats entirely my bad and not the design. Im sorry for that.
Also the attack is on J because originally you were supposed to have 4 abilities so J K L and ; were the moves. i understand why you dont like that control scheme lol i hate it too tbh. Ideally i would have had time to add keymapping.

i should have done more deployed testing cuz i tried to get some fixes in but was 2 minutes late in being able to deploy those fixes.... :(
