Wurmageddon's itch.io pageJudge feedback

- Wurmageddon was a whimsical experience, and I applaud the effort that went into planet generation and gravity field calculations. Dropping into the game (literally, and from space) felt like an epic experience every time, which juxtaposed well with the beady-eyed, round design of the Wurm. Wreaking havoc against people, devouring forests and deserts, and disabling military bases has never looked quite this cute! On the note of dropping in, I did find a bug which would automatically cause the player to travel through the planet, colliding with the lava inside and dying before they exit the other side. In order to reproduce this bug, hold the up arrow while dropping in. Thank you very much for this submission to Pirate Software Game Jam 16.

Summarise your game!
Embark on a crazy gravitational journey across the galaxy in search for your next planet to devour in this survival arcade style game.
You play as a wormeating worm out to gain resources before you starve to death or lose your energy to the hazards of the planers.
The planets are all procedurally generated so every planet is unique and no two runs are the same.
How high can you score before your energy runs out?
Please explain how your game fits the theme:
Thank you for your hard work. Stay awesome.
Is there anything you'd like the judges to pay particular attention to?
Please pay attention to our procedurally generated biomes with it's variety.

This game does not run very well in browser and the game itself is not interesting enough to tolerate the bad performance.
I'm sorry to hear you had performance issues during your test.
Most people have no problem running this game in a browser, so we would appreciate it if you could give us some more information on your setup so we may look into the cause.
Thank you for your feedback.
I love the planets - impressive work they look great! It's pretty fun to chomp them up too!
I'm glad you like them, I'm a big fan of them.
Credit to our programmer for going crazy on procedurally generated planets with mesh deformation.
Neat little game. I landed on a donut planet. I also wrecked the logo in the main menu. Nice job.
Thank you for your kind words and enjoying our game!
Pretty cool entry! I liked the small people and trees, I made a Kaiju game for another game jam and I had to make tiny people and vehicles. Unrelated I guess just reminded me of the fun I had on that project. Anyways great entry good luck on the judging.
Thank you, it's really appreciated to hear that you liked our game.
I'm also a big fan of the small humans (even though they hurt like heck).
Nice work! Played and discussed on stream here if you want to see first impressions & thoughts
Thanks for playing our game. Sorry for all the typos and errors on the submission page; we submitted the game after working on it through the night and our brains were completely cooked. The theme interpretation is on the GDD. You should be a QA tester as you found basically all the bugs, which were inevitable with all the mechanics we cranked into the game during 2 weeks. The movement was intentionally made to make you move forward at the same as you turn. The jump feedback is appreciated, and we agree that moving while charging the jump would probably be better.
Was a fun idea and don't worry about bugs & typos, they're all expected in game jams!
The title screen was a great way to introduce the player to the movement mechanics. Congrats on making a fun game entry!
Thank you so much, that was very fun to watch! And yeah, we agree with much of your thoughts in the video.
At first i was annoyed by your menu screen cause i couldnt figure it out but as soon as i started moving the worm and saw the buttons depress I actually love it. A movement tutorial built into the menu? Genius
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! :)
A pretty neat game from a technical perspective with the proc gen. Very unique!
Thank you, I hope you had fun playing our game!
